Finally! The new FW35G is in my hand!!!

Very nice laptop.. tried out few games like l4d and unreal tournament 3
both are playable and smooth at mid setting with 1400x900!!
Will try crysis soon!!

My review a??!?! I dont write much..

yes its 16.4 inch WXGA++ 1600X900
But for gaming i dont think you want to go that high.. unless you put all at low setting.. even that also will lag sometimes..

What to write about a? Haha.. no idea..
just have to say this thing is a beauty!! Love the front panel.. (Not sure what they use.. but its very nice.. and rough(not smooth type..) "The last pic"

For the button.. you can see that it's popping out.. just like mac.. which is quite nice to type on (for me la.. but not sure for you guys)
The spacebar however is abit one sided.. good for those who use right hand to press spacebar..

The screen.. hmmm i dont think its Full HD.. but there's a sticker which says Full HD 1080.. so no idea..

Oh yea.. this baby is a bit heavy but slim..

1 thing i'm not sure about is that.. it doesn't come with any cd at all?? Is that correct?

Thanks man.. found out that when the laptop is hot.. it's not the arm rest that is hot.. instead its the touch pad which get hot .. however.. it doesn't get very hot easyily cause it's using P8600..

Oh yea.. Sony Style want to let go all their old model before bring in new stuff.. i guess new one should be around during march..

Err.. i don't buy from dealer.. got straight from SONY MD himself..
He's the one who ask me to wait for the latest model.. great guy but very quiet person..

its made from magnesium.. which can reduce help reduce the weight and increase durability.. also reduce the heat

Hi, im currently using the FW35G (RM4,488)
not sure how hardcore you wanna go.. but for me.. i can play smooth with games such as unreal tournament 3, left 4 dead and red alert 3..

However...

Left 4 dead max setting for smooth playing must set at 1024x768.. medium setting.. 2x AA.. Double buffered..

unreal tournament 3 max setting is 1024x768 and all medium (3)

Red Alert 3 max setting will be 1024*768 and all medium..


Good thing about this machine is that it won't get hot after playing for few hours.. only little heat that you wont even notice..


Going to try crysis and fallout when got time..

For FW35g.. no problem playing crysis.. however some part will be abit lag.. not much..

settings are:

1024x768
2xAA
all medium..

New update.. dont use DX10 to play with FW35g.. somehow it keeps coming out error..
use dx9 if possible.. cause its much more smoother however graphic is abit lower than DX10..

haha..
but somehow i keep getting error which says "stop working" then auto close..
but seldom happen if i run on DX9.. any solution?

Hey im currently using FW35.. so far so good lo..
gaming is quite good..

i can play L4d, unreal tournament, red alert 3 and crysis all at 1024x768 full screen mid setting.. no problem at all..
now playing crysis warhead.. ahahah..

Best thing is.. i can play 4 hours straight and the laptop is still not hot AT ALL!!!

Hey, im not sure about the gpu bound think.. when i play crysis in DX10.. no lag however when after sometimes it will shut the game down itself.. no idea why.. so i play crysis using DX9, lagless and no auto shut down.. *got lag but seldom and when there is more activity happening*
FW35 runs on P8600 2.40ghz.. probably has a little affect?
