if im using a 980m gpu now. getting a gtx1060 will already be better than 980m? or do i need to go to 1070?

GTX1060 6GB edition is better than GTX980M.

Sorry should have written in more details.

I connected to an external monitor but nothing shows (blank screen). Only the laptop screen works even after I use "Extend display" to external monitor.

I suspect it's display drivers issues (running Windows 10), but not sure how to resolve it.

If you look at my screen shot, it's showing 6 monitor/display (which is clearly wrong). The laptop display is number 1, and external monitor is number 6. (Not sure where 2-5 comes from).

This is working fine in Linux though.

Can you pm me your serial number to check your spec details? Can try reinstalling Intel HD driver first.

I'll pm you my serial number tonight. And I did try reinstalling Intel HD drivers.

hi ive just bought my z5 a few days ago and i noticed this issue.

When my z5 goes into sleep mode it doesnt wake up no matter what key i press even the touchpad.

I have to force shut down it to bring it back to life.

Anyone has any idea?

The rubber above the front-facing camera, comes out easily. Can I use UHU glue to stick it back in place?

Also, is our power tip size 5.5mm x 2.5mm?

i haven't try that, it auto update, windows 10 update is like batch update, so it may be a bit slow for some user to get it.

960M cannot upgrade to 6th gen proc + gtx1060, the port locations are different.

my z5 suddenly turned off when playing games. is it about overheating problem?

It could be a number of things, did you observe the surface temperature of the laptop when the sudden shutdown occurred?

i log my GPU temp. its max at 69 degree Celsius. is it too high?
