No experience with Amazon. I prefer to buy from local comic shop since I can get it when it arrives. In comic shop, you could find others, chat and mingle around.

hey yea..wanted to ask regarding amazon as well...they only accept credit card right? and i really take into account the condition of the book b4 purchasing. i wonder how amazon packs the comics.....coz i've seen comics sold at mph ...and they shrink wrap it till the point where ure comics are totally bent

I've been buying comics especially HardCover from Amazon for quite sometime
FYI, do not worry about the packaging, the packaging for me is great n safer
i even bought lot of DVD from them, boxset or single movie
they normally pack it in a box depend on the item, the bigger the item, the bigger box they use
i bought LOTR Special Extended Version boxset (consist of 3 movies)
and they packed it in big box, like a shoe box even bigger than shoe box thumbup.gif

I even got 1 problem with one of my TV series boxset i ordered from them
i emailed & asked them about the item
they replied & asked me whether want to cancel the order OR they send another one?
i cancelled the item, they refunded the amount but few days later the TV boxset arrived
lucky me, i got the tv series boxset & my money back
Actually, it's their policies, IF certain item didn't reach the customer in certain time, they will refund your money with no question ask

for Credit Card, they accept both Visa or Master of any bank

looking forward to by Runaway HC #2 & #3 soon

Normally around 4 to 5 weeks
Normally custom didn't check any book BUT DVD, yes
sometimes they check BUT with certain customer when they familiar with, they will allow without checking it
that's my experience la
in my earlier stages with Amazon, i got delay of items BUT nowadays, quite fast
normally before 5 weeks the items will arrive

Yeah
I normally use the cheapest one, standard shipping blush.gif blush.gif
save cost a bit sweat.gif rolleyes.gif

BUT remember, if u want to use Amazon, make sure your address is your office
faster n safer
i'm afraid if u r not at home, they will send the item to the nearest post office which is NOT totally 100% safe

just be safe

Captain America is killed on # 25.  So he should be dead on that issue.  Alas, it is not the death that would be interesting but rather what is the follow-up on the issue without Steve Rogers.

thanks mate, saw the omnibus @ Borders BTS cost a whopping RM254.80. rclxub.gif

Well the plus point if you purchase from Borders / Kino is that at times there will be offer. I believe that there will be a discount if you ask the store for Omnibus title since it is expensive or you can wait till Christmas when there would be normally discount offer for all books.

As for the price at RM254-80, since it is 26 issues of comic -- and per comic is normally RM12-00. It is consider a bargain. Unless of course plus 20% discounts on RM254-80, it woule be so much cheaper.

oh, do not buy from ebay malaysia..if you know what i mean
for books/HC/TPB/graphic novel, most sellers in ebay worldwide do offers international shipping. some might state only shipping in certain countries but do drop a mail to them and usually they are ok with posting to malaysia.
sometimes, you can get good bargain there and there are some sellers sells in"lot" which means usually combinations of few books in one auction or sale

very true. i asked for whether is there a promo, of which there is none for the time being. and they only have about 3 copies. decisions, decisions.

however, did see another collection though, titled Fallen Son. collects the reaction of some of the heroes after Capt died. worth getting as well? this one is quite cheap comparatively, RM85 i think.

One main thing i bought HC is because of the extra thing inside it
normally sketches, letter from the writer/s or sometimes from the artist
and the main attraction is the covers, past covers

so far my experience with them is good. you can check on their feedback before dealing with them. make sure to take advantage of combing shipping cause for most of them do combined shipping

Fallen Son is the reaction on Capt America's death, so if you did purchase the Omnibus it would be ideal follow-up. BTW, it seems that Capt # 26 onwards is quite interesting read.

As for 3 copies left, hmmmm.. to buy or not to buy? That would be your choice as I had urm. unfortunate incident of waiting for offer rates while pondering the same on Uncanny X-Men Omnibus.

As for my New X-Men Omnibus, I was fortunate enought to enjoy substantial discount. It seems to be on timing and luck. LOL!

HC reminds me of the special DVD collection with makings, inserts, etc. Slightly expensive but sometimes it collects all variant cover plus sketches. Worth for collectors to ponder into.
