looks like lots of people are selling the comics now.....for me, i'm considered semi retired already cause nowadays very hard to find a good storyline. i'm currently following up with spider-man's "one more day" storyline...i think is worth reading. even though the art is not the best. anyone reading it??

i think comics cannot be used as investment especially here in malaysia. unless you have a super rare vintage issues..

Spider-Man "One More Day" Hmmm. I am kinda interested in the story-line but obligations to X-Men Run kinda deterred me from pursuing it altogether.  Keep me posted on what is happening to Peter Parker and I hope they don't wave a wand to keep the marriage apart.

Well, PC Games / Online Games / PS dominated the new blood plus the stiff price of the comics is the root cause of the decline in readers.  Or else The Mind Shop would still have more branches and a recent comic shop would not be closed last month.

right now there already published issue 2 of 4..basically here's what happen:
issue 1: aunt may took a bullet for peter as you know ever since he revealed his identity to the world, everyone knows who he is and those old enemies come hunt for him. she fall into coma and was warded. since they cannot afford to pay for the medical fees, she will have to transfer to the charity ward..this where peter go and beg tony stark (iron man) to help since he is a billionaire. after few fights and punches, tony finally gave 2 million

issue 2: peter went to beg (again) dr stange to turn back the time so that he can stop the shooting...but dr strange explained that peter cannot change the past..despite this, he bring back peter to the day of shooting but peter still cant stop the shooting. so back to real life, just when peter was about to give up..a little girl with red hair appear out of nowhere and she can change that.

so the question here is who is the little girl and what peter has to sacrifice in order to save aunt may? we'll found out in the next issue the little girl will offer peter the infamous deal that was spreading since beginning of this year. aunt may's life will be spared in exchange for all traces of peter's marriage to mj. the girl even show peter's future if he does not safe aunt may from dying. and obviously, peter have to accept this deal. then in issue 4 will end with peter and mj spending "one more day" together as husband and wife before the reality is altered and eventually will starts the storyline for "brand new day"

i agree with you nowadays not much people are into comic books anymore. most of my friends whom collect comic book back in the 90s has "retired" and like you say, venture into PC games. this trend leads to closure of few comic book shops at the klang valley. and not to mentioned that with the existent of torrent, they won't even have to step into book shops.

I've been buying comics especially HardCover from Amazon for quite sometime
FYI, do not worry about the packaging, the packaging for me is great n safer
i even bought lot of DVD from them, boxset or single movie
they normally pack it in a box depend on the item, the bigger the item, the bigger box they use
i bought LOTR Special Extended Version boxset (consist of 3 movies)
and they packed it in big box, like a shoe box even bigger than shoe box  thumbup.gif

I even got 1 problem with one of my TV series boxset i ordered from them
i emailed & asked them about the item
they replied & asked me whether want to cancel the order OR they send another one?
i cancelled the item, they refunded the amount but few days later the TV boxset arrived
lucky me, i got the tv series boxset & my money back
Actually, it's their policies, IF certain item didn't reach the customer in certain time, they will refund your money with no question ask

for Credit Card, they accept both Visa or Master of any bank

looking forward to by Runaway HC #2 & #3 soon

Yeah
I normally use the cheapest one, standard shipping  blush.gif  blush.gif
save cost a bit  sweat.gif  rolleyes.gif

BUT remember, if u want to use Amazon, make sure your address is your office
faster n safer
i'm afraid if u r not at home, they will send the item to the nearest post office which is NOT totally 100% safe

just be safe

but 4-5 weeks it's too slow for me. unless you're not in rush so i guess is fine. for me, usually i'll get from ebay stores and it usually arrives within 6-10 days.

lol...ebay stores are great..but the malaysia one doesnt offer much comics...the worldwide one has many from america..but not many wanna ship internationally..
*
oh, do not buy from ebay malaysia..if you know what i mean
for books/HC/TPB/graphic novel, most sellers in ebay worldwide do offers international shipping. some might state only shipping in certain countries but do drop a mail to them and usually they are ok with posting to malaysia.
sometimes, you can get good bargain there and there are some sellers sells in"lot" which means usually combinations of few books in one auction or sale

I had check e-bay MY before and it is quite limited plus the pricing is kinda high.  As for e-bay international, would they be trust-worthy?

so far my experience with them is good. you can check on their feedback before dealing with them. make sure to take advantage of combing shipping cause for most of them do combined shipping
