QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Feb 17 2017, 12:47 PM) Why not claim your warranty, Corsair do provide 2 years. Cause its abit troublesome for me to bring it back from Singapore as I bought in JB. And I will be one week without keyboard to use @_@.Go claim it, and let them diagnose. Plus, it's 1-to-1 exchange. Note: I'm just offering advice, please don't bash. Just thinking whether anyone has this kind of issue or not. |

QUOTE(kEazYc @ Feb 17 2017, 04:34 PM) Damn, did not expect soldering iron can be that expensive LOL, guess i wasn't paying much attention in KH class during secondary school. Rm500 is just entry level 1.You should see the ones they have at my workplace. Few k per set, including the tips and solder fume filtration system. Same la like keyboard, some people happy with cheapo Logitech and I am happy with RealForce This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Feb 17 2017, 04:41 PM |

If you want el cheapo, just buy like your secondary school.Cheapo iron Desoldering pump desoldering wick/braid. optional, unless you are working on LEDs cheapo flux, mostly for desoldering Rubbing alcohol + brush to clean off the residual flux Tweezers Long nose pliers (optional) Snipping tool (something like this http://my.element14.com/plato/170/shear-cu...-me-pd-mi-acce) SnPb solder Some sponge/cloth Safety Goggles (MUST) That's about it I think. And make sure you do it in a well ventilated area, or you'll get sick from breathing solder/flux fumes. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: Feb 17 2017, 05:27 PM |

QUOTE(irsyadfy @ Feb 17 2017, 06:06 PM) +1 Great link to that Lelong soldering supply shop...thanks!i did mine for around that. including buying the solvent used to clean PCB. this cost me RM50(postage not included). drop by this link/shop, http://www.lelong.com.my/merchant/vmart126.htm im not their reprensentative or anything but its my personal AIO shop regarding soldering stuff. sit at home, goyang2 kaki, item sampai. I used to be active in the RC planes & quads hobby..and in that hobby, a lot of soldering skill is needed. I regretted not buying a good quality solder when I started out. Go for a Hakko if you can afford it. If not, go for a decent looking 'clone' with variable temperature control/power output. It will save you a lot of heartache. Oh, and look up soldering tutorials on Youtube, there are lots. |

I finally decided to get a ikbc f87. Loving it. Click Click Click. Feels better than Ducky One. Heavier and sturdier too. But that's just my opinion.
Awesome thread! Thanks for the advice. |

QUOTE(Heeezy @ Feb 11 2017, 08:14 PM) try to modify them if you have the knowledge, modified mx blacks is amazing. could also go for mx pink, they are somewhere in between red and black, not as soft as reds because theres force when you press down, but not as hard as blacks May I know what sort of mods can we do to the mx black to make it amazing? |
