Why not claim your warranty, Corsair do provide 2 years.
Go claim it, and let them diagnose. Plus, it's 1-to-1 exchange.

Note: I'm just offering advice, please don't bash.

Cause its abit troublesome for me to bring it back from Singapore as I bought in JB. And I will be one week without keyboard to use @_@.

Just thinking whether anyone has this kind of issue or not.

Rm500 is just entry level 1.
You should see the ones they have at my workplace.

Few k per set, including the tips and solder fume filtration system.

Same la like keyboard, some people happy with cheapo Logitech and I am happy with RealForce devil.gif

Mmmhmm, i'm not looking into investing so much into this project, is something around RM150 sufficient for the solder/desoldering job?

If you want el cheapo, just buy like your secondary school.

Cheapo iron
Desoldering pump
desoldering wick/braid. optional, unless you are working on LEDs
cheapo flux, mostly for desoldering
Rubbing alcohol + brush to clean off the residual flux
Tweezers
Long nose pliers (optional)
Snipping tool (something like this http://my.element14.com/plato/170/shear-cu...-me-pd-mi-acce)
SnPb solder
Some sponge/cloth

Safety Goggles (MUST)

That's about it I think.
And make sure you do it in a well ventilated area, or you'll get sick from breathing solder/flux fumes.

Great link to that Lelong soldering supply shop...thanks!

I used to be active in the RC planes & quads hobby..and in that hobby, a lot of soldering skill is needed. I regretted not buying a good quality solder when I started out. Go for a Hakko if you can afford it. If not, go for a decent looking 'clone' with variable temperature control/power output. It will save you a lot of heartache. Oh, and look up soldering tutorials on Youtube, there are lots.

I finally decided to get a ikbc f87. Loving it. Click Click Click. Feels better than Ducky One. Heavier and sturdier too. But that's just my opinion.

Awesome thread! Thanks for the advice.

try to modify them if you have the knowledge, modified mx blacks is amazing. could also go for mx pink, they are somewhere in between red and black, not as soft as reds because theres force when you press down, but not as hard as blacks
*
May I know what sort of mods can we do to the mx black to make it amazing?
