Anyone have any comment about this board especially that keycap thickness?

I've been thinking bout this board for awhile now, main thing that attracts me is the pbt caps that it comes along with gateron linear.

I wish I can put it ANNE Gateron Red switch into CM Stealth Cherry MX Brown. TKL or 60% should be fine for me. It's matter the switch sad.gif
Good price IMO. I got myself for MYR300.

Interested in this board? have gateron red, TKL or full size, comes with PBT(White) or POM(Black), and also RGB(Optional for me)

Main thing that attracts me is the gateron switch and relatively thick PBT keycap, not to mention the price.

Seeing this thing make me dizzy. Haha. This is too much into modding than I thought. Skipping this.
I don't know what to do with the switches.

Not too sure what you meant by modding but this is a fully built keyboard. The 1st link is just a picture to show you the insides. It is a picture uploaded by one of the buyer who opened up his keyboard.

The reason I'm linking the first link is to show the thickness of the keycaps.

The actual keyboard is in the second link where you can choose different types of board sizes, gateron switch type, RGB or non-RGB and it will be shipped fully built.

Just plug in and use when you receive the keyboard.

Not trying to sell the keyboard, just suggesting it to you since you mentioned that you are interested in a gateron switch keyboard.

So i just added some padding inside the case of my board, can really feel the difference. The sound when pressing the key is more solid. The material that i use is the floor wipe tissue from daiso.
Use a few sheets is enough for 1 keyboard. 1 packet comes with 45 sheets. Cheap cheap rm5.

I will desolder and clip my stabs later tonight. biggrin.gif

put under PCB?

Yea, but my space bar still has some high pitched sound. Might add some tape to the insert.

Also, the feeling of clipped stabilizer is less mushy than stock. Can really feel a difference after clip and lube. Now I understand why people often recommend clipping stabilizer.

it is also not too hard to do it. A soldering iron and a solder suction can do the job easily.

I just put back everything together and the key presses are definitely more solid and i think it is a good result for a cheap mod using these daiso dust wipe. http://nickchan.net/daiso-rm5-special-floo...-for-dust-hair/

The cost is only <RM1 (Rm 5 for the 45 sheets and I only used around 6-8 sheets.) versus something like this
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0040JHMH6/ref=cm...i_cfNIybS9FEQ53

which cost 15usd.

Just my ducky zero. You don't need to do the padding if you don't want, but i would highly recommend the stabilizer mod if you are using cherry stabilizers

Can get this if you are interested in gateron switches. Which it's linear are much smoother compared to cherry linear.

It also comes with a relatively thick PBT keycaps.

ive read somewhere b4 about those padding. but never open up my kb yet, maybe ill do it on all my kb.
will do the stab mod on my qfr-i. lazy to desolder 104-keys for now. lol
and thanx for all those info. good info  notworthy.gif
Don't worry, you can just do the stabilizer mod on all keyboard which are using cherry stabilizers. You only need to desolder just 1 switch for 1 stabilizer and you can remove the stabilizer from the board already. Don't need to desolder all the switches on the board.

try to modify them if you have the knowledge, modified mx blacks is amazing. could also go for mx pink, they are somewhere in between red and black, not as soft as reds because theres force when you press down, but not as hard as blacks
*
May I know what sort of mods can we do to the mx black to make it amazing?

My Ducky cherry mx black is very scratchy. sad.gif

Also, would prefer it to be slightly lighter.

Hence I'm very interested to try out a gateron yellow board for it's lighter and smoother switch biggrin.gif
