Thanks biggrin.gif

I'm looking at the Filco Majestouch 2...hmm..but can I ask for some alternative suggestions.

- Prefer with backlight but without is fine (i'm already looking at the filco anyway)
- I hear that cherry stabs give a "mushy feel".... read costar stabs feel better
- Customization is not important to me

Can i find WASD keyboards here in Malaysia?

I'm thinking Ducky as the next best buy but i'm not sold on it.

one year me looking for WASD locally, no luck.
other option for costar is cmstorm quickfire(not CM qfr-i), which is no longer produced. must get used one.
other option is ppl saying leopold FC750R cherry stab is comparable to Filco costar stab. just google fc750r vs costar.
costar not recommended if u change caps a lot, but typing wise. blessed  nod.gif

I'm using the quickfire rapid-i ~~
I don't really change caps alot. I think with costar i will just break it lol. I only fear cleaning inside will be a nightmare.

Will look into leopold.

Any other brand out there I can find easily which doesnt use cherry? maybe topre or buckling.

Thanks for the advice. Seems my choices are quite limited. heh...but i guess filco won't go wrong 1.

get b.pad or any cheap non-mech numpad.
problem solved.
unless u work with a lot of numbers. get fullsize.
all in all, its ur kb, ur choice. i just recommend TKL size more coz easier to carry around.

if u want wireless non-mech numpad from TaoBao, i got link.

Yea i am using a Quickfire Rapid-i (also tkl) for work. Want to let go of it but look for another kb first.

Have some burn LED issue (i change new kb before but it seems this is a common issue with this kb). Anyway it is still under warranty until July so can change before then.

I like to annoy my office with the blue switch hahahah.

I thought of looking for the ducky mechanical keypad...but i guess look for full board more worth it.

The only thing i dun like is the distance my right hand need to jump back to typing because of the extra length of the board. TKL is better in this regard. Feel more ergonomic ...dunid move so far when my hand move back to mouse but i work with alot of excel files so....i guess the number is quite important.

thx bro...
i am not quite liking d razer product also...
as i tested 2 of their mouse...
both have double click issue about 1.5 years...
thx for pointing that out...
how bout durability of corsair?

btw...
i am using my pc in my bedroom,so will prefer more silent switch...
dun mind not using cherry if other switches are good enuf...
and i dun think i will replace any keycaps, prefer my keyboard to look ori...
plus some rgb keyboard can bind different colour for certain key also...

btw i look into d cm mech keyboard as u stated...
d price is like about 75% to 80% to corsair one...
den i think i will jz go for corsair...

see if u got ani other cheaper suggestion?
like fuhlen,tesoro or other brand...
coz survey too much recently...
*
My Blackwidow ultimate i think i bought in 2012...
Use until now also no issue. Not a single LED burn also.

I prefer standard keycap for typing. The keycap on the razer feels abit...small...dunu why (or maybe the spacing of the key itself).
My fingers are quite large so i always miss type stuff. Gets quite annoying. You might find this to be an issue if you are looking at Corsair/Razer.

You can establish the year from the serial number.

EDIT: Those manufactured in 2014, serial number should look like: SGK4040GKCM1US114xxxxxxx. This is the problematic batch with lots of LED failure. Problem was rectified subsequently in the second bacth bearing serial number SGK4040GKCM1US115xxxxxxx
*
Oh yes...stated USD1144. No wonder lol...when i go back for warranty i make sure they change to newer model.

Many thanks for the tip notworthy.gif

After some research I have bumped some choices down below

- CM MasterKey Pro S (Basically same as my Rapid-i with RGB =.=)
- Ducky Shine 6 or Ducky One TKL
- Corsair k65

I'm really looking forward to the ducky pocket to have a TKL + pocket on the right side of my mouse but the Shrine 6 also look quite pretty.

Any thoughts on the Corsair 65 vs Masterkey?

I finally decided to get a ikbc f87. Loving it. Click Click Click. Feels better than Ducky One. Heavier and sturdier too. But that's just my opinion.

Awesome thread! Thanks for the advice.

Guys I'm new to mechanical keyboard. So I'm planning to start off with one with cheaper price tag any suggestions? Preferably below 250RM?
*
At that price tag quite improbable to get a decent one. Unless you are willing to look at second hand product but that also you will have to hunt a bit.

If you are interested let me know. I have one to let go.

Hi guys. I saw the razer wrist rest for the Razer Ornata. Very comfy ... soft, plushy material. Unfortunately it comes only if you buy the keyboard which is around RM 300+ (Non RGB version)

Anyone knows if there is a similar kind of product in the market?

Mostly i see is wood material or the hard leather one from ducky.

Can confirm Ultimate Zone have Leopold but not all models, maybe 1 or 2 only. He did tell me can order tho if you are looking for a particular one.
