guys, i have a masterkeys S pro RGB, that crashes itself at random times, RMA once laready, came back the board also like that, i unplugged all my other devices already but it is still happening

could it be my RGB mouse interfering? lol

oh and btw the firmware on the kb was updated and it happened, and IT CANNOT BE UNDONE, so i dunno also if the firmware made it go crazy

I feel like masterkeys series QC isn't great.

My masterkeys pro L white had some LEDs not being able to turn off when I received. After some time it went back ok. And I didn't switch on the led often.

Now almost 1 year, got few LEDs still showing dim light after I turn off the LEDs. Lately 1 key LEDs won't light up.

Something wrong with PCB? @@

you should just do rma for the board. it has two years of warranty, so don't waste it.

yes sadly the build quality is not so good.

yeah, but then while the click is very nice sounding, the tactile feel is rather weak. Novelkeys has BOX Navy which has heavier spring with thicker click bar, but I really hope someday Kailh can implement that thicker click bar into their BOX white with stock spring weight. But then again, it seems unlikely...

Better get it RMA. I'm also not sure whether it's a PCB fault or the controller problem.
For RMA cases, there are some due to the firmware update. Once u update latest firmware, start to feel bad things happening.

in my case, this is so true. things were still good before the firmware update.

for the cases related to firmware, they can just provide the users with a fixed one. for the rest it's really better to make use of the rma.

tecware phantom tkl; not related to reliability, but just within your budget. relatively better boards start from 300+

i suggest top up your budget, and get a better quality one, like iKBC c87/c104.

you can check out the garage sales section here, or mkb fb page. maybe there are on-going good deals.

iKBC and filco are better because they are seriously durable. (personal experience; e.g. some of my filco tkl are also used items; one of them i don't know how many hands already; its age is few years old; it's still better than many new boards today)

Most of the RMA cases I encounter also those small matters. Not supposed to be RMA. But, since some insisted it's a fault. sad.gif
I talked to CM, and heard the firmware can be flash to the default if the latest firmware not compatible with some computers.
I'm still digging more info for it.

ah it's a pity :/ yes it's a small matter. for cm to fix this i don't think it needs a lot of work also

oh it has a fail-safe. hopefully you can find out more about this and share with us.

there is no prebuilt with clone speed switches yet i guess. if you need one then you need to wait for it.

.. with virtual hands.

on the brighter side, with it you can comfort your self virtually, with virtual artisan key caps, or a full set of gmk/maxkey/whatever something something, on a logitech board biggrin.gif
