There is so much other brands in the market now.. don't be restricted by just Soft 99..
I have in my arsenal, waxes from Collinite, Optimum n Meguairs and they are all good..

1) Be sure that clean and wash your car properly , the best out there will be Meguairs Gold Class shampoo , u can get from "cheeho04" member from LYN,  he do carry all range of meguiars product , i always buy from him because of service and also good price , don always looking for cheap price but bad service  biggrin.gif

2) Clay your car , no matter how new is your car , there must be some dirt that u couldnt see from the surface , claying is like using Scrub on ur face that scrub all the dirt away from your face  biggrin.gif  , after claying your car , u immediately will feel the surface is so so so so smooth like taufu fa  biggrin.gif  , not neccessary to get the Spray detailer with clay , u can actually clay with Meg gold class shampoo ,get a spray bottle , mix shampoo with water and u good to go ,  for the Clay bar u can either get the Meguaris Clay bar or 3M original JAPAN clay bar , from cheeho04 or lelong.com (me myself using 3M becasuse its much more cheaper than meguairs) , normally we clay it every 6 month to 1 year per time

Claying Tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhNxVDjlfh0&t=110s

3) After this , u can already start apply Wax or Sealant , so my previous step would be applying Ultimate Liquiq Wax , apply it thinly and waiting for 3-10 min , then buff off with your micro fiber towel (please get high quality one , or u can get meguaris shine micro fiber towel) I TELL YOU , ONCE U BUFF OFF , U REALLY WILL SMILE AND SELF-SATIFY WITH THE RESULT U GET  laugh.gif

Ultimate Liquiq Wax Tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWE1s3dEHNk

So to maintain the life of Wax , don't wash ur car too frequently , the best is once a week. So to boost your wax , after wash ur car , u can using Meguiars Spray Quick Wax and it's so so so easy to use , just spray and wipe , that it , normally i will do it once for every 2-3 week , some will do it every week BECAUSE , u really feel very very smooth surface every time u spray the Meguiars Quick Wax. Re-Apply the wax for every 3 month  rclxms.gif
That the basic to take care of your car , for professional detailer there actually got more step to go thru , but i think that not really neccesary , once u wax your car , then u can really wash your car easily , and dry out very fast
Ur car is your baby , don let bangla to touch ur baby  biggrin.gif , everytime i see people go thru those machine wash , my heart so pain because u are actually letting other to rape ur baby cry.gif

Thanks for the very detailed explanation. So your advise not to wash the car very frequently to maintain the wax life.
I use my car as commute to work everyday and the road I use is very very dusty especially on rainy days if I happen to be stuck behind a lorry. It is really worst that after the dirt dry off, my car look like cover by mud. So, in this case if I wash just using water will it make the dirt go off easily? and only wash using car shampoo once a week?

So did you replace the Waxing step with the Soft99 fusso 12 month on your recent try out. I saw some of the youtube video you posted on that. It looks impressive outcome.

The pro will tell u to wash car once a week , because the more u wash for sure it will gone faster , that the reason why we use Meguiars Quick Wax Spray to maintain back the wax that we wash off

Once your car is wax , the dirt will get off more easily when u washing compared the normal car , but in my opinion , the soft 99 done better job , meguairs macam will stuck like small little bit stone and dirt on surface especially around the tyre body, while soft 99 fusso coat , after raining day it like helping u wash ur whole car biggrin.gif biggrin.gif , and remember don only use water to wash ur car because it never clean , remember to dry it to avoid leave water mark smile.gif

For more deep detailing , pro actually using Meguairs Ultimate Quick Detailer to wipe off those light dust , and it also can remove bird Poo so u no need to wash ur whole car just to clean off the bird poo, it can save ur wash car count , but me myself didn't really use the Quick Detailer because u need alot of micro fiber towel , so i just close 1 eyes and tahan sampai weekend , then open my pipe and start to wash my car tongue.gif tongue.gif And pro won't let rain dry on their surface ,as u know rain contain of acid , so it will burn off ur wax quickly, pro using Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detail to wipe off the rain stay on the surface and dry it off after back to their home , but i not that crazy la until doing this , if u really follow those step , for sure ur wax will stay more longer

and 1 more thing to discuss about the Clay Bar is , seperate the clay bar into maybe half or 1/3 , then the remain clay bar u can buy small tupperware from Mr Diy , put a little of water and keep it store , if clay bar didn't store with water base , it will become keras and u can't use it anymore , and 1 more important thing to take note is ONCE UR CLAY BAR DROP OFF on the floor , throw it and use another new clay bar , if u continue the dropped clay bar , end up u will get scratch over your surface , remember claying just let the clay flow over ur surface , don't really need to pressure it biggrin.gif

About the Waxing step after apply soft 99 fusso , i think i won't apply any wax after soft 99 fusso coat , because i would like to know how is the re-act of soft99 fusso coat after maybe a month or few without adding any wax topping

if u really need to top the fusso coat , u can try to get this Soft 99 Spray Wax smile.gif

I just bought my car plate number from mysikap last week.

The running number you see from JPJ website is the LATEST already. Just search the number you want in mysikap and if it's not taken, you can buy it straight for RM 210.

If its taken, u need to wait till next series. Just refresh the JPJ website for latest running number and start camping when it reaches 99**. Once new series is out, you can buy whatever number that is not taken from 0001 - 9999.
*
Thanks for the info bro. Was just wondering if there was any 'cooldown' period until the unwanted tender numbers are released.

When VR series was just opened, I saw 8887 still available. Quite a nice num but I'm aiming for VV instead laugh.gif

LOL! Don't start in this thread innocent.gif

I seriously dunno about MySikap, coz everything was done by my SA + runner service - and I used my previous number from my very first car - sayang my car number wub.gif

But looking at the JPJ Number Plate thread, MySikap should be able to "book" the unwanted numbers from the system - JPJ Number Plate Thread post here

Sorry bos tongue.gif Kacau je.. Haha

For convenience sake I also wanted to go through runner but my old man sounded me and told me to get it on my own doh.gif

Washing frequently with a good PH balanced shampoo is important to maintain the coating/wax on the car. Many shampoos are quite harsh and meant to clean super dirty cars and strip dirt/oil/grime and strips waxes, polymers and coatings in the process. PH balanced shampoos are gentle to existing treatments already done on the surface.

Good PH balanced shampoo you can buy off the shelf includes : Meguiars Nxt Car wash, Sonax Gloss Shampoo, Zymol Auto Wash to name a few. The bottle and label should clearly state it's PH neutral if it is so, as it's a premium quality of a good car shampoo. Not all Meguiars car wash products are PH balanced/friendly. So if your coat your car, make sure you use PH balanced shampoos to prolong the life of the coating.

There are also different types of surface properties each product leaves behind (most car shampoos leave behind polymers to enhance shine and protect paint). Some are high tension which sheets water off and some low tension surface properties which beads water on the surface. 2 school of thoughts, as some say water sheeting doesn't induce water marks from water beads drying under the hot sun leaving the water mark stains. However, water sheeting actually attracts dust as well and you'll notice dust will settle and stick on your car even if you drive it around. Low tension beading shampoos/waxes allows dust to blow off easily when you drive your car. All in all, I still prefer high beading products as I cannot tahan to see dust gather on the surfaces especially on dark color cars, so i'll just ensure if it rains and my car is parked outside, I take the special effort to drive it off before it's left to bake with the water beads under the hot sun.

And 1 more tip to those who really want to detail car , save your money and forgot about High Water Pressure jet , use the money to buy product is better , once your car is wax properly , u really no need water the pressure jet , just go giant or hardware , get a nozzle then u good to go biggrin.gif , when u are finish clean all the shampoo , the last step is , take off the nozzle , let the water flow over your surface and all the water will be flow down and dry , if i got time i will try to demo with video tongue.gif tongue.gif

I see some other detailing forum , they keep buy this shampoo foam to make snow wash , then that water pressure , this shampoo power and that water is high pressure than this blah blah , but their car isn't waxing or taking good care , so what if u have a good wash but without a proper protection , it just like u have an Iphone7Plus , u have 360 degree extend camera , u have this gadget and that , but ur phone is without any casing or screen protector to protect , so end up ur phone will scratch all over doh.gif

Normally soft99 12month won't over 100 , price range is around 75-85

about the ultra glaco , better get glass refresh , do it , make sure water can be flow nicely thru ur window just the video advertisment , then apply ultra glaco , then u will notice , DUST only will STICK on the surface of ur windshield but not STUCK on the surface , mean u blow the dust also can blow off haha
The 1 set of Cleaner can really use for few car , that include Front , Rear and Side window , i already done 2 car with balance

thanks bro,Indeed very informative

I have done the soft 99 12 months on my white civic !! very impressive result!!

Will try the glass refresh soon and also the ultra glaco , will order it right away.

Did you try to apply Carpro cQuartz ?

Another worry for our low car , is our car will be more easily vunerable to stone chips , especially when we are behind lorry or suv ( mainly higher cars ) , this product sounds like it can protect from stone tho, is it true?

Izit fun right to see the final result car shining2 and feel so smooth the surface after waxing laugh.gif laugh.gif Good luck with ur ultra glaco , and can't wait to see your result biggrin.gif

Sorry mate , i got zero knowledge about Carpro cQuartz , but u actually believe those coating really can really avoid from stone hitting and won't stone chip?

Perhaps that you might be see the scratch on the surface after hit stone , it might be only damage to the coating surface and can be recover by polishing , but i never try it so no comment about it , maybe can ask other sifu to explain further for you , because the product i use normally is just consumer level , didn't go until coating level , as u know coating is very chemical thing , u need wear glove , mask and really careful with it , i just feel the chemical seen abit too strong sometime sad.gif

Here is how our Paint Layer , normally we only damage the top one which is CLEAR COAT ,u can actually recover by polishing , if u damage until see the base coat like the one who damage his front bumper , argg that really painful and u need to repaint it , here the video u can see how they explain the thing that we do , that the reason why we can't always polish , because everytime u polish , that mean u are cutting out ur clear coat , so that ur clear coat will getting thinner , basically we done polish only if it neccessary , don syiok syiok go polish end up habis ur clear coat haha
