Only oil life. Preventative maintenance can also befollowing the oil life, or normal 10k/6months. Go read FAQ on 1st post.

SA never mention about PM, he said just follow oil life MM or 10k/6mths then come and service the car.

So guys, I finally got my Black TC-P yesterday. Driven about 50km so far.
This is my observation based on personal experience.

Sales:
I've only had very bad experiences with Honda sales staff however the SA whom I got the car from was refreshingly different. I must give him a thumbs up. Even my very particular gf was impressed with the way he handled everything.

QC:
There is some room for improvement. I did notice the gap between the hood and fender on the driver's side is slightly smaller than the passenger side but the variation is so small that I'm not gonna bother asking for it to get fixed. I didn't even notice it until my SA pointed it out and told me it's within Honda's tolerance levels. Everything else is ok. Looks like the SA actually checked everything before delivering the car to me and ran through it all again with me at the Showroom. I hope it stays that way.

Driving Experience:
Pros:
1. This bugger is fast. I was on the highway on the way back and simply rested my right foot a little bit so I can overtake the car in front, next thing I know I was doing 120kmh. This is a huge difference when compared to my previous car, a Peugeot 408 2.0. Now I've got Econ mode on just to give me some time to adjust to the way this car drives. With Econ mode, the throttle response feels like my previous car.
2. The ride comfort is very impressive too. This car has a firmer suspension than my previous car and I was tightening up my muscles each time I approached a bump or rough road only to be pleasantly surprised at the way it absorbed everything. Really impressed.
3. Fuel economy is also pretty good so far. Need to continue driving for a bit to see the real figures.
4. It is spacious! I'm tall and I was pleasantly surprised when I sat in the back seat behind the driver's seat. There's even room for me to stretch my legs a bit.
5. The A/C is pretty good. Don't know why but it feels so much better than my previous ride, even in the back seat.

Cons:
1. Road noise is really bad. It's quiet at speeds below 60kmh but after that, you can hear the drone from the tires clearly. Wind noise is also quite bad. Is there any solution to this? This is the only real gripe I have.
2. The door opening is small and roof is low. My passengers kept struggling and bumping their head on the roof when getting in and out. Not complaining about this one. I got the car knowing this would be an issue.

Once u compound and glaco , u should be not using ur wiper anymore , i not sure it will effect wiper rubber or not , because i also first time using soft 99 product , previously using rain X which after 1-2 wash or with wiper keep on , it can't repell water well already bangwall.gif

Ron95 for all my cars past and present. 97 doesn't make any difference to me other than a big hole in the wallet.

I pump BHP Ron97. Somehow i feel RON97 more responsive, engine smoother and quieter on my TC after several times testing with RON95 biggrin.gif

for tc you need to service almost double the frequency compare to 1.8.

The maintenance minder is created because it is slightly more complicated and new to users.

I am 1.8 owner.
*
TC not really need to service more often if not really drive a lot. I drive about 7000km every 6 months(Mostly city drive). I still service every 6 months just like 1.8 owners with mileage about 7k and maintenance minder left about 200-300km+. If often travel outstation on highway, maintenance minder actually drop slower than actual mileage.

Not sure about it but i didnt use RainX for really long time, some soft99 product is really good , wait i got time i shoot the ultra glaco result

Actually u should buy the latest compound Z it call Soft99 Glass stain Cleaner, but the result i think is minor only, not much different , remember after apply ultra Glaco, after buff off ,don touch water for 12 hour is better happy.gif

Here my old 8 year honda city after Fusso Coat 12 month , see my tail lamp almost as new because i keep waxing every 3 month , in my opinion, self care of ur car is always better, and self satisfy , if u need remove scratch or spider web, then u just leave to those professional detail shop, for waxing , just do it ur self and u will feel happy when touch the surface as smooth as taufu haha

Remember, buy the latest it call soft 99 ultra glaco, it state 6 more stronger than other brand, and give u guys some tips, after using the ultra glaco, if possible just spray waterer + clean cloth to clean it only, dont use shampoo to wash the windshield and window, water + cloth will do the job, after this just dry it only, this can extend the life of ultra glaco, soft99 saying that it can last 1 year haha , so i gonna wait and see

Wait this friday i wash my wife jazz and shoot video let u guys see

The ultra glaco is super easy to apply, yes just wipe like u wipe ur white shoes haha , but its recommend to compound first before apply it, just like we applying wax to car, its better to clay first happy.gif if u rajin lagi, u can clay windshield, compound Z/Stain cleaner, then ultra glaco, more step BUT better result

It's more expensive to maintain in the long run because u have to change your engine oil more often.

Has anybody done anything about the door hinges?

Its really too tight and makes opening and closing of the doors very difficult especially when ure inside the car. I thought it would improve over time but its still the same.
