Do you mind sharing which SP you are using?

My SP have the cutout at the round sensor part. and another cutout for the sensor at the top too.

My main issue with the fingerprint sensor on my phone is that it doesnt work when the phone is charging. I have to manually key in my pin number to unlock the phone sometimes.

This I never try yet. Later try out.

i only use the SP for the home button hahahahaha

Just try out, seems ok for me. Anyway I seldom use phone when charging. Shall be ok for me.

But the wet thingy, hope Apple able to fixed it in future.

When u have something btw your finger and thumbprint sensor, it would definately affect the recognition.

Even FB videos can't load properly now. Only happens to Apple devices on UniFi.

Bro. Try this. Exit the app, then press power button until the slider appears, let go power button. Then press the home button and keep pressing until the slider disappear, black screen and then the home screen reappear.

Then open back FB and play video and see ok or not.

I observed this, not sure same conditions and scenario like you. When "over-charging", leaving it with the bundled apple adaptor and connected after it reaches 100%, the phone gets warm/hot, the fingerprint doesn't register.


Since then, I got an Anker USB charger which can do fast charging like iPad charger, 2.4A?? charge within 1 - 2 hour (never really check how long it charges, but should be below 2 hours and above 1 hour mark) and unplug before it gets warm.

Avoided charging overnight and no longer using the Apple bundled charging adaptor.

This is big flow design, what to do... sometimes I do hate when my hand is wet.

This I fully agree! Apple better change the sensor in this year new iPhone.

You meant you never use it for all your phones? I am using one with gorilla glass for a year and did not notice any scratch on it. I think iPhone 7 should fare better.
I wonder anyone use without case. The iPhone looks elegant but casing make it look bulky.

Bro, my case totally opposite. This is what I observed when I first got the ip7. I ve never used the charger that comes with the unit. What I used since my ip5S days is a Ipad 10w charger + anker powerline cables. When first start charging, the phone does get hot significantly till about 80%.. then the het will dissipate till 100%. All in around 2 hours can get full charge from 20% lebih kurang. I also notice that when it reaches 100%, a popup will come out stating that it has full charge 100%. For a few days I monitor the heat even I leave the charger on after full capacity, both my charger and phone does not have any heat too.

I have also checked and confirm that when hooked up to charger and charging, I can use the phone like normal even answer calls without any ill effects.Also no issues with thumb print recognition and all apps working fine.

BTW my unit, ip7 came from Maxis. and updated to ios10.2.1. I have a Spigen Glazz SP and Neo Hybrid case.

i'm using home button sticker for my 7+ works fine for me most of the time, and as bro andrewtst said, if fingers are wet the home button won't function properly. this issue will not happen on my ex mate 9 phone. guess apple cut cost use lesser quality hardware this time round?

yeah i never used a case and SP for my phones and tablets. i used for a month without a case for ip7, but i had to cuz now got many nephews who likely has a tendency to throw the phone hahahahah

Ya this one bugging me since day 1. Not sure why RM4k phone have lousy fingerprint scanner

LoL, lousy? Hmmmm.. what the heck you expect? Something like MI:6?

Lousy for me. Finger need 100% dry for the fingerprint scan to work properly. While cheaper phone can perform better. For RM4k phone of course i expect the scanner can tolerate if finger a bit wet. Sometime when i want to use phone quickly out of pocket need to wipe finger 1st

Weird... seems the same on my remax charger too.

borrow my friend's oneplus 3 this morning and try the fingerprint sensor with wet finger (maybe i should say moist finger).. it failed just like my ip7+... even i ask him to try the same situation on both phone and it failed too.. but never try with other phone yet..
