Actually I didn't do those since android 5.0

The battery life in android can't pass iOS but thanks to most Android phone now with big battery, keep for a day never an issue anymore. This not means Android battery control already better just big capacity battery is a must in android phone.

For an average user who only use phonecalls, social media and photoshooting. Most Android phones are adequate and it offers a wide price range to choose. Not many can afford or accept the iPhone pricing. Both OS are mature now for daily usage. As long you can afford it comfortably and use happily, that's good.

Been using Android for six years. Now I am thinking for a change. If my budget goes well, could buy the 7 on later half this year. Now only can buy a SE. The only thing that bothers me is many iOS apps don't support my Chromecast.

Hi, to those ex Android users. I read this thread and notice many of you mentioned your iPhone running much smoother than your previous Android. May I ask did you install a lot of apps on the Android and the same on iPhone?

its just the OS optimized with the HW tightly~ Apps doesnt affect the OS performance, in any computers.

It's the optimization and how the OS handles background processes.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. I noticed you used Google pixel and in your experience its optimization still not as good as iOS?

I think Google Pixel is much more smoother. But its my preferences. SE was my first ever iOS device in October. Bought Pixel in January cuz I missed Android, never felt the same. Sold both and got ip7. biggrin.gif

See my comment at reddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/5s..._would/ddftc5g/
Rhinoshield or UAG. Watch drop test from greater height. Both survived nicely. I watched many drop tests before i decided, not those waist-height drop, all from higher buildings. from the looks of spigen, i am not very confident, although it did survived too in a test.

Thanks for reply. I have read that thread a few days back. Now with your reply it does provide enough info for Android users who is thinking of switching. I was thinking of getting a Pixel earlier but hesitated due to its premium price and lack of official support in our country. It's disappointing because now the Google has terminated the Nexus and I don't see any chance HTC will bring in the Pixel. With that premium price, I rather buy a phone with authorized service center and continuous software support. Always heard friends having pleasant experience with Apple Service Center. I am surprise to learn Google services run smoother in iOS. Speechless.

Let's just say android itself is resource hungry and not optimized itself. Otherwise how do u explain real life test results the cheapskate Iphone with measly 3gb can beat android with 4gb?
Android phones is always about pumping memory and braging how much ram. Whereas for apple product, they don't bother publish such info. Only will know from 3rd party year downs. Their focus is on optimization using less memory.
Let's not go to security fix patches/updates and 3rd party app optimization.

But if use vanilla pixel from google, definitely more optimized than other 3rd party company like Samsung. Phone is produced by google anyway.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, you do have few valid points especially regarding the security fix patches. Plus, paying such a high price for a phone not officially supported makes me feel uneasy.

i only use the SP for the home button  sweat.gif  hahahahaha

i never use SP for my screen~

You meant you never use it for all your phones? I am using one with gorilla glass for a year and did not notice any scratch on it. I think iPhone 7 should fare better.
I wonder anyone use without case. The iPhone looks elegant but casing make it look bulky.
