QUOTE(jumpstat @ Feb 15 2017, 12:07 PM) No. What I am saying is to make it a habit to charge the iphone around 50% capacity or more. This will minimise the duration in which the phone is subjected to heat due to charging. What we are trying to avoid is unnecessary heat due to charging. If charge from 0% capacity, obviously it is on fast charge all the way till 80% then it throttle down until finally trickle charging for the last few percentage. The battery will then experience high heat for longer duration compared to if charged at say 50% capacity to full. I have been using this habit with my ip4, ip5S, ip6 and ip6+ and so far I have yet to replace any of their original battery. So basically, I have chargers at home, in the bag, at office and in the car too. I charge my set whenever possible. Its becoming secong nature somewhat. I see. I always thought that charging at the level of more than 20% is bad for the phone as it will deplete battery life. As for me I have never experience heat from charging my ip7+ at all. I only noticed that if I use it for watching videos. It tend to overheat after awhile

It tend to overheat after awhile That scenario you mention applies if the battery is of type Lithium Ions (Li-On), smartphone are having the Lithium polymer (Li-Po) cells. Anyway its some habits that would take care of the investment. Watching video and graphics heavy games do tend to work hard both the processors and graphic chips, and then if it is online game, even worse as all the system is all working hard simultaneously. Having a case and depending on the type of case also make a notable difference. Having IP67 weather proofing is also welcome addition to the ip7/7+.

QUOTE(ashangel39 @ Feb 15 2017, 12:23 PM) Been waiting for Celcom's stock of 7 Plus for more than a month. Still nothing. Very strange, this. I've seen ample stocks of 7 Plus at almost all authorized retail outlets.

QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Feb 15 2017, 03:51 PM) Yeah man. I agree lol. Any apps that you use to check battery health? I used to use Battery Doctor but have since just rely on the built in app. I stopped using the 3rd party apps after an article from Macworld came out in August 2016. To summarise, these apps are not useful and are just there to promote adverts, shareware etc etc. You can monitor the battery from within ios itself.

Apple uses Lithium-Ion, in fact many manufacturers use it due to lower cost. http://www.apple.com/my/batteries/

QUOTE(attw @ Feb 15 2017, 04:33 PM) Very strange, this. I've seen ample stocks of 7 Plus at almost all authorized retail outlets. I guess it's cause most people would buy from telcos to get it cheaper than buying it outright. I have a friend who waited quite a few weeks to get one from Digi.
