a lil update on my CM690. With dual rad mounted on top.

Unfortunately, im very very short of tools and ill just make do with some china made RM5 soldering tool and melt down the plastic top panel. Got a dremel tool from moderno.. but malfunctioned = =

The cutting on the metal top part of my cm690 isnt well done due to not having proper tools... though it cant be seen when the top panel is covered so it isnt really an issue for now.

The whole top is fully solder/cut sweat.gif

Fits perfectly!!! what a relief after some rough measurement is done.

GPU waterblock is fitted and little heatsinks(mixed of zalmans/CM). Ready go to !!

Yup... you didnt see wrong, the GPU short tubes are the gas tubes. DIdnt have enough clearflex for it, though i think the extra hard gas tubes actually serves its purpose well there.

If you work out the price, I won't be surprised that, with a bit of DIY and elbow grease, you can get a better setup for around the same price

honestly, i also dont have any wc yet... from my experience in READING about wc, thermaltake and cooler master dint produce good quality of their wc... corsair, zalman, d-tek, thermochill, swiftech, cool-trek is an example of good wc products..

in my opinion, better u save/find more money to buy quality products cos ur playing electronic devices with liquid.. laugh.gif

my advise for you based on my own experience. Before my final setup, i was a Thermaltake Bigwater 735 user with dual TT Rad. Honestly speaking, despite performing not up to par, at least it is silent in a way, when rad is mounting externally, overall case temp is lowered since the heat from the proc is carried away externally unlike Air cooling, where air will most likely stays in the case before being carried away by your exhaust.

There are pro and cons, however, i never regret my purchase on Bigwater 735 as i learnt most of my WC lessons from there.

If you have a RM400 budget, id advise you to save up more and get a decent watercooling set.

My setup as of now -

Apogee GT = RM200
Swiftech MCW60-R = RM200
Cool-Trek DP1202 = RM235
MCRES Micro Reservoir = RM85 (Optional, you can replace this with a T joint)
Nirox P3800 (1500L/H) pump with brass barbs = RM45+24
Tubings (Clearflex) = RM50 (if you're tight on budget, go visit your hardware shop and look for those gas tubes, a good quality ones only cost you approx RM2 per feet)
Coolant + Distileld water (1Litre) = RM20+10
Miscelaneous = RM10 (zipties, clamps, etc)

Total RM879

Performance difference vs bigwater? Significant!!

Im totally satisfied even if it cost me that much. Again, i wont hessitate to invest in a proper cooling system, it is still useable on upgrades and wont go to waste.. not so soon lol.

Remember, its about performance, not the "cool" factor.

it is indeed up to you whoever u wanna buy from. But 1 piece of advise, choose a seller where the location is nearer to you. If you're new to WC, im sure any of the 2 mentioned friendly seller are able to provide guidance for you thumbup.gif
