Plz comment:

Apogee GT - RM170
Cooltrek Silent pump - RM135
Swifttech Micro Res - RM 90
PC ICE Coolant - RM 110
Cooltrek Single Fan Radiator - RM 175

can it be enough to cool off a non OC E6600 C2D ?

and can i add on another DangerDen Maze4 GPU block - RM 200 yet does not face significant lost of cooling performance ??

anyway can Gigabyte Galaxy cool off CPU and GPU well (E6600 and 8800GTS)

hahha .. the thing is 8800GTS produce quiet significant heat ....

so it increases the temperature of the entire system ... by 4c ..

beside the heaviness of the Ultra-120 is really bothering me now ...

more over the north bridge has quiet a lot of heat rises due to it closeness to the gc...

QUOTE(point blanc @ Mar 11 2007, 01:36 PM)
doom,
i'm new to water cooling... wanted to switch to water cooling as my room is not air conditioned and my room wall is facing the setting sun (2pm - night) so it gets pretty hot in the evenings... any suggestion for a water cooling? or should i stick to air cooled?

can i know whether the Apogee GT is the "shower" type of just the normal inlet type without any small holes as in shower pipe?

off topic: where can you get Apogee GT for RM 170 ??? rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
are you serious man? normally Apogee GT go for around RM200 - 210

regards,
point blanc

the Apogee GT is sell by Uglyvamp for that promotion price...

i dont understand what do u mean by shower type ... however the block does has lots of small spade shape block...

Seem like sHawTY really flaming like the panda ... hahhaha

@vailance

what sHawTY said is true and i am one of those that realize Bigwater SE is so useless compare to high end air cooling ....

the performance is no match to any high end cooler ... like Thermalright, Nortua and etc....

before u go for it u better check out review of the block used by Thermaltake, switech, Koolance and Danger Den...

u will understand why people here wont suggest u to go for Bigwater Kit ...

apart from the performance... RM400 for the kit is useless might as well buy a high end CPU and CPU cooler ... that can perform on par ...

furthermore think of the maintenance of wc kit ... it's not assemble and can use for a year ... checking leakage, tube, water level and etc would be needed regularly .. further more cleaning is not as easy as u think ..

that's why if u serious about wc better prepare more budget and get something decent and no regret for any RM u spent on the Bigwater Kit

Yes it does ... works better with more heat being dissipate..

although it looks like blocking but actually it is flowing through only .

bout rm800+ if calculate all the blocks and accessories... which costed me a bomb on cooling... i did so by upgrading 1 by 1... at start my setup is juz a mcr-220QP, nirox pump and apogee block.. then i add those blocks and change and upgrade things and took me bout more thn 1/2 year to get my desired loop complete...
temps are 38c-40c core temp idle for my opty 170 @ 1.45v and 49-50c load.
stock vcore temp is 36-38c idle, 44-45c load... quite decent cause my loop also cooling down my x1950XT which idle @ 41-43c, @48-50c load(NFS: Carbon)
*
ic ic .. nice setup, i have always wanted to venture in but the cost and risk just holding me back now .... besides it's really hard to get nice looping with the hardwares inside that keep on changing in my case ....

QUOTE(BurgerRI @ Mar 27 2007, 12:42 AM)
just changed my water pump from a nirox to a Laing D5 ..OMG the silence...its fantastic...couldnt understand how i could have managed to stand the rattling noise my nirox was generating for the last couple of months.. thumbup.gif
*
hahah.. one could understand the beauty of quiet when they experience it ...

once fall in love with silent there's no turning back sweat.gif

I have the same thought coz the radiator could benefit cool air out side of the case rather than using hot air within the case ...

the only issue of having radiator outside is spoil the beauty of the case ...

further more having rad outside the case reduce the exhaust capability of the case ...

That's why loh, I would just grab a a case with decent internal ariflow than mount the rad outside then .. .

It's more performane promosing .. will get it done after this trip in hunting for some nice fan to use on the rad..

hmm I guess the power of the block really make difference ..

I'm really happy with the performance of the VGA block ..

however for the CPU block, I think it could work better if I bowed the surface .. but I think I could live with it since I don't OC ...

No lah ... bro it fit nicely without any kinking ...

I don't even need the swiftech anti kinking coil to have the tube bent ..

the tubes used from uglyvamp is incredibly soft .... can bent easily

It will as Artic Ceramic is not really a good performer under load condition ...
