GG..live chat from Samsung proven useless...Guess we have to wait "up to 2 weeks" to see if the refund already in or not. I am guessing that time will be "up to 1 months" ...........

Hi, I"m Danial. How may I assist you?

Hi, I would like to ask regarding the Note 7 refund
10:40:01
it has been more than 5 working days since I returned the phone and I am still not getting the cash
10:40:18
Danial
I see. We do apologize for the inconvenience.
10:40:37
Danial
As currently, the respective department are trying their best to get it done as soonest as possible.
10:41:06
may I know how long do I have to wait for the refund?
10:41:10
Danial
One of them will call you soon, and acquire all of you personal details to proceed with the refund.
10:41:52
means I still need to give them my personal details? I thought already did that when I returned the phone?
10:42:37
Danial
We do understand it has been more than 5 working days. It could have take up more up to 2 working weeks.
10:42:43
Danial
Just for the verification purpose later. To avoid any issue in the near future for the bank in of the refund

Too late for me now, already updated.
I can't change my phone in Indonesia. Already tried that. They informed me can only change it in Malaysia.
*
not to say too late. there's way by rooting the phone and removing the particular update but it's way more troublesome and not so adviseable if you're not a technical IT person.

do update us if you're stuck in indonesia because of the travel ban. call up the samsung center in indonesia for your problem. they will accomodate. you are not the only person with such a situation.

IMPORTANT FOR ALL THOSE WHO GOT ADVISES FROM ME ON HOW TO DISABLE THE OTA UPDATE:

DO NOT UPDATE THE APP THAT IS USED to do the process anymore cause Samsung has requested them to remove the feature that will prevent the OTA update. Whatever version that you have, just keep that version.

How about S7 new SME set for RM2099 vs SME S7 Edge Blue Coral RM2599, what's your opinion?
I prefer local support rather than imported set like Pixel or OP3

it's difficult to answer opinion because it depends on individual preferences. software wide the S7 and S7Edge nearly identical. the only difference is the edge section of the screen mostly.

suggest you go to a phone shop and experience the demo units first to have an idea.

price wise outside street price is cheaper than via telco.

if you don't mind smaller screen and no edge why not
is still a great phone
that s7 edge is the closest siblings you get can beside note 7 as it also have big screen + edge features

Actually I went SME to check but S7 no longer selling outside.
I don't need edge function but I'm afraid due to S7 is not selling here anymore, worry not many accessories to buy later 2~3 months down the road.
