With the recent reported cases involving the Samsung Galaxy Note7, Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd urges all pre-order owners of Samsung Galaxy Note7 to power off their devices immediately. Pursuant thereto, the option of refund or exchange to the Samsung Galaxy S7edge will be made available for the pre-order owners provided that they return their current Samsung Galaxy Note7 accordingly.
The preorder owners will expect to be contacted from 13th October 2016 onwards by Samsung Customer Service, related mobile network operators or participating retail partners respectively on the details of the refund or exchange program
Can someone please enlightened me how will you know if your phone has been prohibited from charging to 100%?? I tried google but can't seems to find the answer, perhaps wrong choice of words in search bar?

First there will be an update. There will be notification in a form of message which you cannot ignore.
Mine is updating now.
Once the update has been installed, the phone can only charge to 60%. You can increase it to 80% via Device Setup.
Thus the most ideal situation would be manually update and pause it forever?
Anyone tried the method by ebackbone? Are you able to find the service com.wssyncmldm? I couldn't find it. Now just off wifi & data. Phone still able to charge above 60%. Don't know how long this method can last ...
Has anyone claimed a refund from YES? Have you received your money yet? If yes, may I know how long it took for you to get your money back?
Went to the YES Kiosk that I bought my Note7 from, the staff there didn't even know there was a refund process going on for the phone, aduhai. They had to dig through their forms and finally found one that's specifically for the phone, but it says the refund will be via bank transfer and could take up to 1 month.
Pause update and restart phone... yea... still showing pause update since yesterday... able to charge till 100% 😀😀😀 will use till last week of november 👍👍👍
