Won't matter as long as you did hit min spending requirement of RM 2500 in any combination in the diagram:

user posted image

His spending is:

RM 2300 for online -> RM 30 cash back
RM 200 for petrol -> RM 30 cash back.

Total: RM 60 cash back per month

If Spend RM2125 on others (0.2%), not online/Govt/Charity,
Can just spend RM375 on 15% items (online max RM200). No need to spend RM400.

Is the rm2.5k min spending based on posting date or transaction date?

If I spend rm100 on petrol today, will it still be captured as part of the rm2.5k spending, and entitled to 15% cashback?

If pump today or tomorrow, still September cashback if the transaction is posted on 1/10 or 2/10.
I plan to pump (Setel CardTerus) tomorrow as well, as Setel offer 5% (capped at RM2) bonus.

after cancellation they won't do it anyway

For the JOP cashback criteria, it follows calendar month right, not statement cycle right? Meaning from 1-Sep-2020 to 30-Sep-2020.

For instance this month total spending is 2000:

Online 1100
Fuel 10
Retail 990

Then the total cashback will be 32.98

Online 1100 x 10% = 110 (capped at 30)
Fuel 10 x 10% = 1
Retail 990 x 0.2% = 1.98

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Too bad my car full tank ald....cannot pump for petrol anymore.

Since total month spending is below 2500, your cash back is capped at RM 28.

hi senior, this is purely for discussions, say M2C rewards RM50 CB with RM1k spends, which translates to 5%

with JOP, we will only getting RM60 with RM2.5k spends, do correct me if I'm wrong IINM, it around 2.4%, won't DUO will be a better bet, which easier to manage?

Went to New Balance sunway pyramid to redeem LFC jersey. Was told that SC discontinue the contract with NB. Called to bank and asked how to proceed, they cant give an answer. Ask to wait another 2 weeks until things finalized. My redemption code expiring in 2 weeks time too =.=
Troublesome betol.

QUOTE(tifosi @ Sep 14 2020, 02:08 PM)
It's not SC discontinue the contract with NB. It's liverpool changing their sponsorship to Nike from 20/21 onwards. So by right, you should get a code to redeem it from Nike instead.

But as far as I know, most Nike stores do not carry LFC kit at the moment.

QUOTE(pisang @ Sep 15 2020, 11:22 AM)
thanks. Meaning to say, we need to wait for almost 2 months to get the SMS redemption code. This is also stated somewhere in the T&C.
hopefully SC can resolve the situation with New Balance or Nike. For me, as long as i can get the jersey, i'm happy.

updated Liverpool FC Cashback Jersey redemption T&C >> https://av.sc.com/my/content/docs/my-jersey...on-campaign.pdf

6a) You will be entitled to redeem an official 19/20 Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Home jersey when you pay annual fee.

6b) Redemption of the jersey will be via a unique promo code, to be redeemable in selected Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia branches set out in Table A below.

Depend on how you use the CC,
Eg spend RM2100 on Govt, RM200 on Online, RM200 on Petrol / Auto Debit.
JOP : RM60
Affin: RM12
M2 Amex (weekend): RM20

In the past 1 year, I managed to earn+save >RM1000 (JOP) from monthly rebate, Grabpay vouchers, Boost credit, Campaign CB, Lazada Wallet MasterCard Tuesday & campaign, Special discounts at Lazada and Shopee, lot of fun but with lot of irritating calls.

Affin CCs are very boring, hardly earn extra bonus. smile.gif

It depends on your monthly CC usage. Assuming your spending meets the criteria (for discussion sake, make it easier)
If your spending is <600+/- , then get PBB QM/M2C Amex
If ~1k then M2C Amex
If ~2k then SC LFC
If ~2.5-2.7k then SC JOP or Affin Duo Visa
If more than that, then combo two or more cards above to get as much cashback as possible.

The point is try to get the 5-6% first, then 3%, 2.4%, 1% FCB, and so on.

Your spending pattern and my spending pattern is different. So some would prefer JOP or Liverpool, some may not.

I personally cant consistently achieve on the minimum spend on liverpool, so i keep the card but plan accordingly on what i want to spend on. It is troublesome for me so i may cancel it eventually but many active friends here can make good use out of it.
