So today i just received a call from Schlumberger Business Consulting based in Singapore. To my surprise it was a phone interview and I havent prepared anything as I am currently working too.

Anyone have any idea the nature of the recruitment for SBC? Would it be the same with the other SLB recruitment process?

Interview, application still ongoing, but even if you shortlisted, they will issue offer letter tentatively in Q2 (at least), unless ur skills is needed (at the moment, SLB looking for MPD engineer)

Hi. My friend had an interview with SBC after the phone interview. It was a case interview similar to case interviews with management consulting firms. How did you apply to SBC?

Offshore base (at least in Malaysia), 5 years exp, in drilling.

Offshore based,currently got several jobs with PCSB,previously known as @Balance.In Indonesia,MPD is quite famous.

Start apply online or via campus walk in interview, the recruitment is on going process. Recruiter start travelling around campus to find the next FE.
I heard that the requirement for fresh grad is more strict i.e good cgpa etc, and i heard the interview is very tough.

Anyway, good luck. Of course, also apply for same position with different company and countries.

SLB recruiting people through out the year,but currently SLB is looking mid-career candidates.For fresh candidate,not really sure about it,but all depend to business needs,some segments don't have much jobs,so they don't hire new employee.You apply online 1st,from my experience online application is better,your 1st stage will be at Rohas (Group Dynamic).My advice,perform as best as u can during individual presentation & trust me ur sessions after will be easy.Group Dynamic is how SLB picks the potential candidate.The stages after that are just chit-chat.All the best.......

I applied on the morning of the day through my career advisor in my university, by the end of the day i received a reply email.
my career advisor said that i wont be doin engineering-related job in SBC, but I dont mind as long as I am associated with SLB. hahaha

now im reading on the case studies for the upcoming interview, it is a whole new concept for me but i am up for the challenge.
