Hi all;
Need some advice. I just completed my interview with Schlumberger for a finance position. They are unable to select me because i am quite reluctant to travel. The job requires posting for 3 months to any countries (at random ~ they don't know yet) at Middle East and Africa and I am quite concerned for my own safety. On one hand, I hate to let go of this opportunity but on the other hand, i am concerned about my own safety if i got posted to high risks countries. Do you guys have any advice on this?

Yup, you are still young. At the moment SLB is very concern about their staff safety, you shall not worried about it. Statistic shows, it is easier to get accident rather than safety at any SLB operating countries.

OK. Actually, I am not an engineer but an Accountant. After the three months placement (maybe in Middle East/ Africa ~ who knows???), i will be working at the KL Financial Hub (accounting shared service center). Just asking, how is life at the accounting shared service center???

I don't think it will be dangerous but sometimes things also do happen. But as long as you take precaution, the risk will be lower. It will be be interesting if you get to work in another country but if you are someone who is hesitant to travel, you may regret your decision. So it all really depends on what you really want. If you think you will like working in another country then go for it!
Btw is the finance position with Schlumberger Financial Hub or is it Schlumberger WTA?
