Hi,

Anybody know how is the working environment at Schlumberger? How is their final stage interview?

Is it good place to work? How is their pay system?

Please kindly share your experience with Schlumberger. Any useful comment will be much appreciated.

thanks.

Which department? If you are in finance/IT/HR/credit control, schlumberger implements shared services.

If you are going to shared services...its a different ball game. If you are a guy, you will find working in shared services very boring because its dominated by see lais (housewives). One thing I can assure you is that shared services is very efficient unlike the other commercial companies, once you finish a role in 3 years, the company will move you around inter department to increase your job exposure and won't make you get bored.

The only downside is yeah as I say, you will be surrounded by aunties. I hate working with aunties, their brains not flexible enough, no.1 office gossipers.

is there any different between shared services and direct (engineers, drillers and etc) in terms of benefit and salary?

This is just a random post. I saw few people asked for direct HR email address or contact to apply for positions in SLB. I am now working with SLB, lots of people from linkedin, facebook keep asking me about such detail. SLB is quite different from most of other companies. They don't really entertain to such application (direct email) unless you have special skill or vital-related skill to what are they doing.

I myself applied somewhere last year at their website where I needed to create account and submit my documents. Guess what, the very next day I received rejection email. I lost hope with SLB, I told myself that my future might lies somewhere else. But after around 3 months, SLB gave me a called, kinda phone interview. It was just a phone screening, that was where my adventure with SLB began.

1. Phone screening
2. Group session - Self introduction in front of the panels and 24 other candidates, make car park using paper, present
3. 1 on 1 session with HR
4. 1 on 1 with segment boss. In my case I had the BMP (Brunei, Malaysia & Philippines) area manager for Drilling & Measurement (D&M)
5. Field exposure at their base and interview with a manager at the base

I advise u guys to stop asking for HR email if you happen to know this. Unless u worked for Sperry, BH MWD or GyroData, you will certainly know people from inside SLB to submit your resume, and your skill is related.

Just apply normally as advised thru the website, if it happens to be yours, it will be yours, or else, your future could be lying somewhere else or with SLB who knows, later?

me too, received SLB walk in interview sms a couple of times, nv know how they got my contact. but all the while I dare not to think too much to joining SLB cz most ppl related it with sux working hours, tho it's unavoidable with accounting field but I fu*king hate crazy long working hours.

until now, they called me for screening. and now I have to think if I'm up for it. as I dont need to deposit my resumes into their resume banks and wait for a decade.

Normally how long does it takes for the HR to issue an offer letter once we have passed the final interview and given all the requested documents?
