I have not heard of other companies which provides and invest so much in driving test and catastrophic rate from other companies is hardly heard of.

Maybe you can check with your manufacturing team in Penang, at least that's what I have heard from this part of the world.

I guess it boils down to your division culture and it's still the worst I have encountered thus far.

Driving is one part of it, there are 24 safety standards in slb. Did you know that we can stop a job if we consider it unsafe, no matter what the client says? And our management will back us up if its a legitimate reason? Anyway, we aren't the only company that practices driving rule on their staff.

How can you encounter it if what you said previously s hearsay from friends? Unless it was your own personal experience then it would be more credible right?

The investment done is in training and development, the average engineer in slb for the first 3-3.5 years incurs about 150-200k usd in training. By putting down safety regulations to follow, slb ia safeguarding their assets, i.e. people.

Anyhow, if you feel that it is too much for you to adhere to, then maybe slb isn't for you. Its a matter of perspective. I'm glad I went through what I did, safety comes automatically to me nowadays.

Anyhow the less said the better. biggrin.gif
