pretty noob on this
my house is in the midst of renovation. I am planning to install few outdoor CCTVs, IPTV precisely. Already asked wireman to get few power cable ready at few points such as carporch and alley behind the house. However i am not planning to pull network cable.
Any recommendation? for safety reason and just outdoor cameras, 4 units max. For indoor, probably just 1 or 2 IPTV and will off whenever there is people at home for privacy concern.

Why do power point? Shd pull LAN Cable, CAT5e or CAT6.

If you mean IP Camera then you need pull network cable for every camera back to the NVR or Poe switch. IP camera don't need cable for power.

tats why i mentioned i am pretty noob on this.
i am thinking to use just WIFI instead of LAN cable method. So just request wireman to lay power cable / 3-pin point.

My advice is to use network cable instead of WiFi since you still need to pull cable for power anyway unless your power is from nearest point because Wifi no matter how good might have latency issues sometime.

Just make sure ur wifi coverage is good.
If not, another choice is to use Homeplug.
