yes i got multimeter and how to check power at camera end ya?

do u think my balun there isn’t compatible? do u hv any that compatible?

U need to get back HIKVISION BALUN. Only their Balun compatible with 5MP TVI.
But the video quality may drop because u use CAT5e..
Actually all CCTV that use Balun quality will drop 10 - 20% compare to use Coax cable.
Then if u use non-full copper CAT5e.. u will get more interference or noise...

Yes, just got another WA picture whereby the HDD was removed by the thieves from a restaurant. Also, try to upload to cloud even if it's just pictures. Better than nothing.

Hi,

I have a Cynics DVR Model HT4216-III.
I previously were able to view remotely via my HP but after the IVMS 4500 update i cant seems to be able to connect.
I went to HIL-connect website and checked and notice my device is still stated online.
Any advice?

Try use HIK-Connect app to login.
If u want stable connection, u shd use DDNs and do port forwarding, don't use P2P. Unless your internet don't provide u public IP, for example Digi Broadband.

Hi Sifus,

Not sure where else to ask in lowyat, while browsing about CCTV PSU I came across this thread.

Anyway I've 16 Contronetix camera powered up by this PSU. The connection is Co-axial It was installed while I was away so wasn't sure if I got a lousy or defective unit. The current Power supply's fan is spinning so hard 24/7 so I'm thinking if the wattage consumption is too much for the current unit.

Perhaps someone can shed some light and help me on this as I'm quite the noob for CCTV.

Before I head back to the shop I've got my unit to ask for an exchange or buy a new one, can I know what PSU brand is recommended for CCTV and what to look out for in choosing the next PSU?

Thanks!
