I'm assuming it's a 2 years contract. If it's a 2 year contract, I will Be paying rm70 more/month compared to buying without contract and stick with the MO 98(rm68) plan

Aww. My bad didn't follow maxis iPhone plan for the past 2 years. So no more 1 year and <rm50 contract?

How do we calculate the total payment required?

Say iPhone X 256GB MOP158

RM4105 + Device Advance RM834 = RM4939 before GST

What do they mean by device advance? i dun gedit.

if you are maxis loyal customer (few years with maxis i assume), your device advance will be waive

they scare you run away with the device subsidize, for example new customer sign up MOP158, pay RM4105 + 6%, then didnt continue to pay monthly 158.... if you are loyal customer, maxis will waive the device advance, because ipx 256gb is RRP5899, you only pay RM4105 + 6%, then you can walk away with it who knows some people never continue to pay maxis

if you need to pay device advance, they will return you monthly, let say u pay RM834, they will credit back to you in few months on your bills...

let say credit back within 6 months, RM834 / 6, each month your bill is (RM158 + 6%) - RM139.... something like that
i assume 6 months, not so sure how long, maybe 12 months

p/s: BUT you cant really do that just walk away without pay monthly, telco can lock the phone if you owe them money....

No. Previously they had the i-plans for iPhone with a year contract but the cheapest postpaid plan now is the Maxis OnePlan 98, and you can’t even get an iPhone with that plan, minimum 128 to qualify for iPhone purchase. And all with two year contracts.

Depends on individual. For me, part of my mobile bill is subsidized by company, so I'm fine with signing up with a plan that maximizes the subsidy I can claim and being able to buy a device on the cheap.

I still on 24 month contracts for 7 plus. By now, shalll be left 12 months contracts, am I still entitle to sign up for 24 months contract, for iPhone x? Then become 36 months contract? It's work in this way?
