You only can do EPP when you purchase your phone at maxis centre. But you can also do balance transfer to other bank as suggested by our forummer before. Read back few pages before.

Seems like telco dont want give you any room to think before you placing order.
It's either you swift click pre-order or u gotta wait for 2nd batch restock, I assume there will be limited stock available

The early termination charge is calculated based on [(Recommended Retail Price (RRP) – Upfront Cost) x (Remaining month(s) ÷ 24 months)] + RM 100 administration fee.

e.g. device RRP is 4000, you bought at 3000 (this will be your upfront cost), 1000 is subsidized
