if you are maxis loyal customer (few years with maxis i assume), your device advance will be waive

they scare you run away with the device subsidize, for example new customer sign up MOP158, pay RM4105 + 6%, then didnt continue to pay monthly 158.... if you are loyal customer, maxis will waive the device advance, because ipx 256gb is RRP5899, you only pay RM4105 + 6%, then you can walk away with it who knows some people never continue to pay maxis

if you need to pay device advance, they will return you monthly, let say u pay RM834, they will credit back to you in few months on your bills...

let say credit back within 6 months, RM834 / 6, each month your bill is (RM158 + 6%) - RM139.... something like that
i assume 6 months, not so sure how long, maybe 12 months

p/s: BUT you cant really do that just walk away without pay monthly, telco can lock the phone if you owe them money.... 

if you pre-order from maxis, the system will auto waive if you meet the requirement not too sure on other telco
