you know, Maxis is the most stingy company when it comes to Iphone offering.

Other companies offering RM98 plan/ month with about RM1000 subsidy for iphone, but Maxis offers lowest RM128/month  with about RM1000 subsidy.

One thing that never fails the amaze me is that people are still going back to them even after complaining of pricey plans and uncompetitive packages. rclxub.gif

beats me too.

I seriously don't understand it either.

Now with Zerolution , one needs to be careful about buying second hand maxis set.  I gave up my desire to purchase a 2nd hand iphone SE after i found out it was on Zerolution package.

If the original seller defaulted on their Maxis Zerolution commitment, that Iphone is bricked in Malaysia. Maxis will lock the IMEI, rendering it useless.

The only good thing about Maxis is their superior network quality and coverage.

Its the same with other Telcos offering the same packages. You have to be careful when its a Telco set. But having said that, there is no way you can check if it is a Telco set or not unless the seller can present you with a receipt for it.

as long as customers are willing to pay extra for maxis service, maxis will continue to increase the prices of their commitment fee , and reduce their subsidy for Iphones.

It was RM100 (i value plan 1) few years ago, now they increase to RM128/month.

well, not my money ....just saying
*
I skipped Maxis this round and bought my 7+ direct from Resellers. No way Im going to be tied down to their packages now. Its not only expensive, its a darn 24 MONTHS CONTRACT.

By the way Telcos are having price wars now, their plans will be uncompetitive in 2 months time. Having said so, not that the plans are competitive now anyway.

Hi,

Anybody got any idea when maxis will restock their IP7+ 128gb black? appreciate your reply.
*
Its on a daily basis. Tip, try going to the larger maxis centres ie KLCC, Sunway Pyramid.

Well, that's because of the network speed and coverage they offer. Many ported out in the first quarter of the year due to the case that went viral but many are porting back into Maxis again now
*
No doubts about that. Digi is close behind to Maxis in terms of coverage and network speedl

I agree with you on this.
Or they open a new corner just to sell the phones to compete with Machines and Switch and others.
*
They dont only want to sell phones , they want your monthly paid subscription for their services. Its like a long term monthly commitment to them in terms of revenue. laugh.gif

Sigh, no choice bro, other telcos reception not good enough where I live. And not just data, but even cellular line is crap.
*
Not so if you have WoWifi. If you have wifi (which you must have) then you can connect to your house wifi network for cellular line.

Lol. So many complains on Maxis and yet you guys still die die want to subscribe with them. You are premium paying customers, paying much more than other telcos but still get this kind of treatment and service from them. The Maxis bubble is really true.... laugh.gif

A friend just ranted, after being a maxis customer for almost 20 years, he was just trying to get contracted to get an Iphone 12 Pro Max but was given the runaround. Went to Maxis centre was being told no stocks, called CS service and was attended to by a telephone bot. Went online and all he got to chat with was another bot. Still he die it feels like begging to pay for an Iphone from Maxis. laugh.gif

Their CS by live chat used to be good. Now switch to Whatsapp using bot, not even one human agent care to entertain you.
So much of freedom of speech eh.  unsure.gif
*
Ya man.... if bots can solve problems then its ok. But apparently it doesn't. Not only that it does not solve customer queries and problems, but its a waste of time and effort to even call them. Maybe that is what they want. hmm.gif

They will reply you but it always takes a long time before someone replies. So far longest was like 24 hours later.
Be it Maxis or Digi, to call is always the fastest to get your query solved, though every now and then you'll be attended by not-so-friendly, less helpful or less knowledgeable agent even on Maxis priority hotline. But certainly beats reaching out to them on social media, live chat or WhatsApp. Digi live chat is especially bad and their Twitter staffs too are terrible a lot of times they won't even reply your DM. So nowadays i always call 123 or 016-221 1800.
It looks like some unethical dealers are making their own rules so to get new number sign-up commission from Maxis.
*
I really hate it when bots in turn give you the "runaround" by linking you to their faqs over and over again. I mean if you are one of the countries major telco network provider, you should have read CS to assists consumers should they run in issues, not keep them "entertained" by bots posting your faq page over and over again. shakehead.gif

At least for Digi and other Telco providers, you get to speak to real human CS when you call.

There is an option but it is hidden deep in their self serve menu - after calling, press 2 for IVR and then press 0 after hearing all their messages.
Won't exactly bet my life savings on it, but ok, we'll wait laugh.gif
