Next week actually and I've already gotten the answer. Return the phone to Maxis and sign up for a new plan for the IPhone X. That's the "upgrade". No idea whether we'll see Zerolution again or not for Iphones.

What the CS on the Live Chat told me was no. Return the phone and pay the subsidized price. What I get in return technically is not having to pay the 12 months balance for the phone.

In other words, I'm paying RM2,460 for a year's usage of the 7+.

Maxis signal reception and data has been shitty these past few weeks.

Maxis came out with iphone Zerolution plan today but need to pay advance payment of RM4500. I thought zerolution means for 0 upfront payment lol

Oh it just come out today. But when they have upfront the zerolutions plans looks like old normal contract. Hmmm... why oh why maxis??

Just went in to a maxis centre and asked bout the zerolution.

Its only offered to current maxis user. And for example, you take ip8 64gb, 128 plan. Pay 2500 + gst upfront. And you dont have to pay your phone bill of 95(phone per month) + 128 (plan price) + gst for a year. On the next year only you start to pay.

The 2500 upfront payment charged to your credit card, you need to settle with the bank if you want full pay or EPP.
