Well ASB is really major issues for some..
That fund yearly help people financially.. But now as u see it, dividend rate is low..

Pnb is doing some marketing / damage control now..
Even in newspaper got articles explaining the rationale of lower dividend & and that its competitive return for current market.
No worry of losing initial investments etc.

As for elections, I think it's most likely in March during school holiday period..

Ya, I saw it too. Some people are bashing them on their FB.

Normally you also say that election will bring better dividend. But it doesn't seem that way now.

Maybe.. like someone said, it may mean it is based on real market condition and no "hidden hands".

I'm not surprise with ASB lower dividend.
I expect all ASX FPs will have lower dividend in 2017 unless they can resolve this ongoing issues with 1MDB & all those so called DONATIONs stuff.

Meantime, I'm happy for any % >FD now unless there is a VALUE buy in KLSE right now. Majority of my dividend stocks are giving <6% dividends but if I calculate capital gains, it's more than 6%+ per year.

Not at the moment as I'm focusing on dividend stocks. Must diversify some in preparation of future lower returns of ASX FP.
Since majority of my saving in ASX Fp now, with less investment money to 'play', I'm doing much better than before.
If stock market crash, I'll withdraw some to hunt for good dividend stocks.

Please share the good dividend stock

Lower this year. Next year higher. Than BAM election in 2018 Must save money first what.
