Wah..so many posts..
My ratio atm...ASX:FD = 60:40 My personal take on all this... 1. Never put all in one basket 2. Some people say it's best to have liquid cash in hand that can lasts you 6-9months. Very subjective, depending on your expenses/commitments. For me, no more debts means I don't need too many cash lying around 3. Never been too bold to venture into stocks, so still no go for me atm 4. UTs got play sikit-sikit |

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Oct 19 2016, 11:06 PM) 1. i think most of us not putting all eggs in one basket... i doubt that any of us dump all $ into ASX FP......., presume you are so lucky can buy all the units you want .....then the ratio for ASX FP: FD : UT : STOCKS will be 100:0:0:0 1. Agree2. wow ..debt free, let me guess your age 3. Stocks markets is another piece of financial products... very volatile ...... with many nightmares if you sail to the wrong directoin... 4. UT, i don't think you play sikit-2, as fund manager plays for you, you just give them the money , so you ain't playing, you are being played nice to meet you... 2. 2 cars, 2 houses (landed), spouse (mestilah 1) 3. Agree 4. Maybe This post has been edited by OPT: Oct 19 2016, 11:09 PM |

PM me more info on FSM...in house UTC
QUOTE(dasecret @ Oct 29 2016, 10:16 PM) I know you wanted to move on from this topic but only got time to respond properly now. I understand the whole conservative approach thingy that PM UTCs try to convince people with. I just wanted to show you that you may not have compared your PM fund with the right Msia equity fund, ASB VP is one of the worst to compare with I don't know what fund you hold in PM, so just picked one of the popular one, Ittikal [attachmentid=7905232] From the 5 year chart, you can see that both the popular Ittikal and Dali fund has lagged in performance for the past 3 years. And Smart Treasure is noticeably volatile so you would want to avoid that. I've excluded EI small cap since you clearly wants stability. But conclusion is, there are much better funds out there Anyway, I also understand perhaps you are reluctant to go into FSM since it requires more effort and having to DIY. Another suggestion I have for you is to consider our so called 'in-house UTC' who was active in the FSM thread. He takes a rather conservative approach compared to most of us or PM UTCs. He also has FD promos and competitive forex rates which you would find useful as a one-stop centre I guess I'm only known as the PM hater in lowyat, people don't remember me for anything else |

QUOTE(heavensea @ Oct 31 2016, 08:49 AM) Kfg high risk funds yo, but performing like a king la. Bcos I'm buying the so-called best performing PM UT 'SC'...but nowadays performance like FD Pm? Why? I thought pm is one of the non performing ut. Anyway, I buy sikit-sikit saja...not even 1% of my ASX FD I have ASX FD, I have FD...I need other alternatives lar....haven't really gone into FSM Not everything into 1 basket |

QUOTE(heavensea @ Nov 1 2016, 10:35 AM) gonna share something.. truth story and it just happened today. Depends on fund...an uncle bought portfolio of PM UT for RM39k at 5 years ago, and guess what? He received RM38k when he update his fund balance, and he is not allowed to sell it by today? The bank ask him to wait their manager come back... But bank cannot do that This post has been edited by OPT: Nov 1 2016, 10:40 AM |
