QUOTE(Hansel @ Nov 18 2016, 10:58 AM) Hmm,... I used to think like this, Chrono,... but after the RM started falling and losing its purchasing power, this idea, I'm afraid is no longer true,... Like I said earlier, if the purchasing power of the RM is near to the SGD's, then YES,... this is the best, if not one of the best investments, in the world,... Any idea where to put money now? I very conservative in my money. Can put in Singapore dollar? |

is my calculation correct if I put money in Singapore dollar FD more worth than PNB?
For example ASW2020 gives 6.1% return for RM100,000 after 1 year : RM106,100 If put in Singapore dollar FD for 1 year, 1.15% return but with 6% appreciation against ringgit, return is still higher than ASW2020 in ringgit term? This post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Nov 18 2016, 11:12 AM |

QUOTE(Hansel @ Nov 18 2016, 11:12 AM) I think buying the SGD and the USD now is better,... diversify out. Not only the SGD. But need to do it quickly,..... Let us say in a hypothetical scenario there is capital control, how would it affect our investment oversea? Then find ways to invest the SGDs and the USDs,... look at the many discussions in this forum. Prince, AVFAN and others will comment too, bro,... Problem now is need to do it quickly,.... I think the utmost thing is to go open the bank accounts in Sgp first,... before they close their doors. But of sourse, you must prepare the funds, no need in millions, bro,... |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Nov 23 2016, 03:41 PM) ha true also.Last time my mom wanted to withdraw ASx, the bank officer told her don't sell, better to just withdraw from FD but having said that, ASx does look less liquid because unlike FD and cash, it cannot be transferred to other account on the spot/ interbank giro, etc. need to make a trip to the counter to withdraw and line up etc. This post has been edited by Chrono-Trigger: Nov 23 2016, 03:44 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 23 2016, 11:21 PM) please don't have any feeling against your ASx money.. nothing in this world belongs to us, only those we give away.if really needs the money. then just withdraw it.. don't like "sayang lar mau withdraw after so much hard work done on hunting" no one will keep ASx forever.. it's just temporary parking place only.. |
