You have to check the terms of the installment plan. Normally there is an early termination clause, so it is important you read if there are any penalties associated with it.

Parking first. Just submitted my application for YOLO.. was looking for another great card for utilities and Telco payments after HLBB revised the condition for cash back. Would like to know if Telco payments via apps/online payment entitled for CB or must pay via UOBpayonline only entitled for CB. rclxms.gif

UOB Customer Service Officer gave me a weird information about UOB Yolo Card, but it is unverified information, since I cannot find any information about it on UOB website.  rclxub.gif

Other than UOB Yolo Platinum Credit Card that we all know about, UOB also offers UOB Yolo Lite Credit Card.

The difference for UOB Yolo Lite Credit Card
- The minimum annual income is lower, at RM 24,000 per annum.
- 6 % cashback on online transactions and 3 % cashback on dining are same , but the maximum cashback capped per month should be lower than of UOB Yolo Platinum Credit Card.

The setup of Yolo and Yolo Lite is somewhat similar to UOB Lady's Card, whereby different annual income of the cardholder will determine the maximum cashback that can be gained.

A minimum annual income is required :
- RM24,000 for UOB Lady's Classic Card
- RM48,000 for UOB Lady's Platinum Card
- RM100,000 for UOB Lady's Solitaire Card

Has anyone heard about Yolo Lite, or the CS officer has given me wrong information?

For sure, we will stick with UOB Yolo Platinum Credit Card.
*
Important! Calling all Yolo card holders who didn't meet the minimum annual income requirement, that is RM36k, please call to CS to confirm whether or not your Yolo card is Lite Plat or normal Plat. If Lite Plat, you will not enjoy first year annual fee waiver and it will be charged on the 2nd or 3rd statement, only 2nd year they will waive, then 3rd year onwards every year will be charged. When I called the 1st CS, she told me all this. After that I called again, another CS also said the same thing.

Only UOB PRVI Mile, Preffered Plat MasterCard and Yolo Plat have Lite version. They have the same benefits as their normal counterparts, just that if your income didn't meet the requirement, UOB will still issue you Lite version, but they won't tell you that! Even online banking and UOB website don't have any info about this! I have called to upgrade my Yolo Lite Plat to normal Plat just now. So yeah, you have been warned.

It's stated in t&c mcc code eligible. There is a thread on mcc code compiled by a forummer. You can also visit pb vs thread for reference. Testing/trying is necessary for certain non-obvious establishment like restaurants in a hotel, etc...

Just assume normal dining places will be fine.

MyEG, YOLO I never try, VOX last time I tried confirmed dont have rebate. So I applied CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard and Standard Chartered Gold Cash Back, both confirmed have rebate. Sorry, off topic little bit.

Well, then your card also has Plat wording despite it was a Lite version? Like seriously, how would I know if they give me a Lite or Plat version? If everything and at online banking show the same thing? How's this logical? Even though my income requirement already exceeded the minimum requirement, does this automatically qualify me for Plat? I didn't update them any income documents when I applied YOLO, I hope they will just refer back to my VOX's application documents which was already more than 36k per annum. So, if they really give me one Lite version, be prepared for my complaint. tongue.gif

good info

guess this is their measure to prevent ppl abusing the cashback in year 1 (af waived), then terminate before anniversary.

problem is they didn't tell upfront of such segregation between lite and normal plat.

Yolo Plat has 2 version, Lite and normal. So every Yolo card will have a Plat wording on the card, just that you won't know whether it is a Lite version or not.

If your income record in UOB system is more than RM36k when you converted or applied Yolo, then it is safe to say yours is normal Plat. Lite Plat will only be issued if system determines that you are not qualified for the card.

Yup, couldn't find any info about it anywhere. Problem is all the CS are aware of the existence of Lite version of CC. That's what pisses me off.

Calling CS is the fastest. If not you can email them to ask. Even internet banking and statement won't tell you that.
