I wanna apply this UOB Lady Card too and my colleague has one and she told me UOB refused to waive her AF. Eventually she has cancelled the card. ohmy.gif
Anyway, I still don't need it now because my office will be moving to Gardens only next year and that time I would like to utilize JG TnG reload if it is still then by then. tongue.gif

In my experience, easily waivable. Mine was the Solitaire, so AF RM636. I used it solely for TNg reload, so only RM400 per month. They still offered to waive. But better to apply only when you actually need it. Plus, the groceries cashback is not a standard feature... It is renewable every year. Although its likely to continue, always better to wait for TNC to be published just in cash it changes.

Yeah, I know it is a yearly thingy. I guess it is more feasible that I apply next year. biggrin.gif
Solitaire ya? Let me check out this card. biggrin.gif

Not much difference between classic, platinum and solitaire except card colour and 10% cashback allocation. It's 30, 50 and 80 respectively. Solitaire is very ugly.... A yellowish / beige rose with a fake diamond in the middle. Would have preferred red or pink. Or even an interesting colour like purple.

But at the end of the day no real difference,. Annual fees and spending requirements for auto fee waiver differ though.

Yes, spend during statement cycle.
I spent RM 1 and no monthly charges is posted in my latest statement.

I paid RM0.10 to Digi via UOB Pay Online and no charges on my Vox either. Otherwise it's 6.36.

I paid RM 1.00 to Digi via UOBPayOnline too because I find RM 0.10 is too extreme. laugh.gif
Anyway, I will have cash back to be transferred to my YOLO. biggrin.gif

Yeh, haven't figured out what to do with my last Vox cashback. Am still waiting for people to report on Yolo this month before I sign up.

Just swipe my VOX on the first day for the second week of cash back promo for foreign currency spending.

Hoping that spending on the first day will increase my chances of receiving cashback.

Based on my past experience, UOB promos quite easy to win. For example they had the PayPal and groceries promos earlier this year and I got full cashback even for very late swipes. I guess not as many people hold UOB cards compared to larger banks.

Finally received my 5% cashback, and my 0.3% was credited on statement date a week ago.

Now time to close shop!

Took me 15 minutes to get through to UOB CS today to cancel my Vox.

They were totally not bothered by the cancellation, and said that someone will call me either today or tomorrow to confirm.

Can't wait to get rid of this card!

just checked. same here. i suspect cause previously my statement is tag to my vox (i have lady's too). now that i have cancelled vox, statement poof, gone.

Yes, this is a common problem. You have to call CS to resolve for you, and it takes some time. In my case, it took several phone calls over 2 months!

My case was:

1st card with UOB was Lady's Card. 2nd card was VOX.

I subsequently cancelled Lady's Card and Vox statement went POOF!

I called them several times, and they said they put in request to technical department bla bla bla. For 2 months I didn't get a statement. In summary. You have to keep bugging them and following up.

Uob is the slowest Bank of ever! I called on Monday to cancel, but I can still see card online. Even cancellation takes forever.

UOB is driving me crazy.

I called last week to cancel Vox - and they said they would get someone to call me in 1-2 days to confirm cancellation.

Today I called again to follow-up. And they said that they have no record of my cancellation request.

I am so glad to end this relationship with them.

just wanna ask if i were to use the card for installment plan and i wanna cancel the card halfway through installment is it possible?
*
You have to check the terms of the installment plan. Normally there is an early termination clause, so it is important you read if there are any penalties associated with it.

Ask your spouse to apply YOLO too and ask her to pay for these bills.
Calendar month.
I thought of applying next year, looks like I won't.
No ah..... I can do everything online.

Ladies card now pretty redundant!

Luckily I didn't reapply.

Eh, l thought you have it all this while? unsure.gif

Yes had it for nearly 2 years but terminated all my UOB cards with the Vox change because I wanted to be new to bank customer in the future in case got acquisition offers (last time I got a Lenovo phone). Plus my PBB WMC / VS has 8% / 6% on all groceries for now so no need grocery card.

Recently did a huge CC cut - terminated all CC with HSBC, UOB and RHB. Cancelled HLB Wise (but still got fortune). In Jan, MBB VS and Citibank Premiermiles will go too if AF kicks in.

I asked the staff how about other tesco, she told me no more selling voucher. A bit weird. Tried to ask possible to top up tesco card, she told me can but system down for long time then money you have inside the tesco card only can use for touch n go cannot pay for your grocery due to system down... all tescossss.. don know when can be fixed... haiz
*
I suggest you try calling the various Tesco outlets which you are familiar with before going so you don't waste any time. If you were given wrong info, at least you can also make a report.

siaowei111, or else you can buy from Giant or just reload TnG from Jaya Grocers? unsure.gif

I think Cold Storage also sell gift cards. Can try that?
