Dont ever bother to waste time and effort to call up TNB or email them for refund. I tried once when I paid several account with both my Wise and PBVS. Called TNB at their careline, either nobody pick up or you wait for at least 10 minutes. Whoever answer your call direct you to another TNB branch, I was given the TNB branch no. for 3 different branch and could not get any outcome.
When email the TNB careline, they keep asking for proof of payment, which I show/emailed them the UOB Payonline screenshot etc. Given the documents over 10 times as they keep saying they didnt receive my documents. I called TNB almost everyday to follow up, over 10 emails on the same issue on the refund sent in a week and nothing was done, not even acknowledged that they have received my documents. After few days, the reply from TNB was - too many emails/ inbox and they cant receive the email.
GOt pissed and just forget it. You can imagine the frustration and anger when you have sent your documents for proof of payment at 12pm today and 2pm later, they send an email saying that "we are still yet to receive your documents". Then you send at 4pm today, tomorrow 9am, they send the email again stating "we are still yet to receive your documents".
It took 1 month and there was totally no progress. In conclusion, once money is out, dont bother asking for refund. Unless you are lucky to get the right person to handle your refund. Good luck and let me know if you have done it successfully. I am done and over with dealing with TNB.
Anyway, if you have overpaid your TNB, the amount will be reflected in your next bill. I rather owe them than they owe me, because they are not efficient at all, apatah talking about efficient in cutting your electricity line if you didnt pay for months.
If it is just a couple of months then let it be. Last year I overpaid tTNB 30-month bills during a CC campaign, so after the campaign instead of leaving it with TNB, I went to the branch listed in my bill to request for refund. They required me to fill up a form with my bank account n after a few weeks the money was refunded to my bank account.
