Some1 PM me to promote use Shopee pay bill, should i suspect this round TM crisis is related to them? as most of us prefer to use uob pay online than use their service to let them earn commission.

u pay to shopee, not to the seller. transaction is recorded as shopee, not Telekom Malaysia.

this way, transaction to TM is "masked".

u actually don't lose using shopee. find sellers that can provide higher discount %.

If YOLO starts to disqualify TNB-uobpayonline
from CB, then I will just apply 1 more PBB VS card as a replacement. Will stop these payments next month for observation.

Message from the PM:
"UOB already started to exclude TM from cash back and no suprise for tnb and other later.
Why worry tm, tnb bill cannot get cash back via payonline?
Pay all type of bill via shopee to get cash back."

when this thing happen, they r the 1 earn the most benefit, that y i suspect they r the 1 who complaint to UOB that give CB for TNB n TM when inside TnC state no CB for this categories

aiya dont care too much la.

most important: you settle your bills at discounted price, you got cashback from yolo, that's it. i began using shopee this month cuz can get discount >1%. i will just ignore those offering 1% and use other cards to pay direct to merchant.

if worry too much from the whole chain of transactions, just shift to other cards lo.

YOLO is a good card if you spend for online. Well, I assumed you also applied UOB One Card for petrol and it has AF too.

And 'spending online' doesn't limit to just buying things online, you can actually earn CB for paying your utilities bill online. You can refer to 1st page for the list of spending eligible for 6% CB. The AF is waived for the 1st year. If you think that it's not worth it you can cancel it anytime within the 1st year and don't have to worry about the AF.

this caught many ppl by surprise.

the dreaded delay in cb is annoying. hlb wise, uob yolo, both credits their cb by end of following month. hlb wise statement still tag each trx with eligible category, but uob yolo doenst tell you until you calculate ur own.

My annual fee is approaching soon.

Cross finger if it will be waived.
If not need to calculate effective cash back after deducting annual fees.

thank you for reply.

I did some basic calculation.

- Groceries $500 (PBB VS 6% = 30.00)
- Petrol $250 (AEON BIG 5% = 12.50)
- Maxis (mobile) $250 (PBB VS 6% = 15.00)
- Dining $100 (PBB VS 6% = 6.00)
- Insurance $600 (NIL)
- TNB $100 (Yolo 6% = 6.00)
- Syabas $50 (Yolo 6% = 3.00)
- Astro $100 (Yolo 6% = 6.00)
- TM Streamyx $60 (Yolo 6% = 3.60)

Total cash rebate = 82.10

If I use WISE, I can get RM100. After minus WISE annual fee 13.33/month, I can get net 86.67.
WISE give me higher cash rebate amount and easier for me to pay the CC debt to only 1 bank. Plus I can pump petrol whenever my car run out of fuel.

Any other combination can give me better cash rebate? I don't mind hard work a bit in order to get better rebate.

p/s: I am not sure YOLO treat utiltities bill as online bill payment and can get 6%? I just assume I can get the 6% and calculate the possible amount. Please correct me if got any YOLO expert here.
