Yeah, I know it is a yearly thingy. I guess it is more feasible that I apply next year. biggrin.gif
Solitaire ya? Let me check out this card. biggrin.gif

Not much difference between classic, platinum and solitaire except card colour and 10% cashback allocation. It's 30, 50 and 80 respectively. Solitaire is very ugly.... A yellowish / beige rose with a fake diamond in the middle. Would have preferred red or pink. Or even an interesting colour like purple.

But at the end of the day no real difference,. Annual fees and spending requirements for auto fee waiver differ though.

In my experience, easily waivable.  Mine was the Solitaire, so AF RM636. I used it solely for TNg reload, so only RM400 per month. They still offered to waive. But better to apply only when you actually need it. Plus, the groceries cashback is not a standard feature... It is renewable every year. Although its likely to continue, always better to wait for TNC to be published just in cash it changes.

I see. I thought Solitaire is a different card. laugh.gif
OK, looks like I can only take Plat then. tongue.gif

Well, lady solItaire is uob's way of saying infinite (don't see them with visa signature equivalent)

Hence, benefits should be better. But for those who really are using the card for tng reload, it's okay to stick with platinum. Although on the right time of the year, I really won't mind reloading more than 500 per month for tng. Since i'm reloading for 2 ppl.

I still not yet received my YOLO since I applied 3 weeks ago, I wonder if UOB got call me when I was oversea last week and a week before.
As I can remember, the staff said 7 working days for approval, I think I should call CS.

UOB pref Platinum still have some benefit in it, usually I use for grocery TnG reload, AEON Big gift card reload during first weekend of the month. And use to pay my monthly insurance to get PPL complementary, but after end of Dec, this card is useless unless UOB extend the benefit again.

Well, either you are going or not going to apply YOLO, it is wiser to cancel VOX as it has no more benefits. Of course after receiving last month's cash back.

Last weekend i called UOB CS and they mentioned that i can cancel my VOX card now as it doesnt have anymore benefit.

As for the pending CB for October, they will then credit to my other cards (ie:YOLO), so no worries if u plan to cancel it now without cracking ur head on what to spend on as to avoid the fee charges.

Just my 2 cents.

Will they do that automatically? Just wanna avoid that no cash back will be credited for inactive card.
Anyway, I only spent RM 1.00 on the card yesterday.

I just remembered that I forgot to offset my cash back when I made my payment early of the month. doh.gif So I have RM 50 from there and expected another RM 50 by end of this month. After deduct RM 1, I will ask them to credit RM 99 to my YOLO then.

Hi Fruitie,

Not to sure on the automatic transfer, but if you do incur charges i think waiving the fee wouldnt be much a problem. From the conversation i can tell they are proactive in the cancellation lol.

Yea u should ask them to credit to your YOLO card biggrin.gif should be probable since same holder.

I just end my conversation with CS. My YOLO application was approved last 4/10 and it still not deliver to my office doh.gif
CS told I will receive the card within this month.

I'm expecting to use YOLO to book my air ticket this month, but in the end, I need to use other card with low cash back due to no other card for online purchase. And the sad part was, I booked the wrong day ticket and need to book again bangwall.gif

I still need to accumulate another RM300 to reach RM800 spending when I received my YOLO. hmm.gif

Worst case scenario, just pay in advance TNB bill for the new few months.

I know mine will not have charges as I have used it. biggrin.gif

Yes, it will work as confirmed by CS but just don't want to take any risk as the card will be inactive by then, scared no cash back will be credited into an inactive cash back. Sometimes they don't speak among themselves even in the same team. dry.gif

Spend RM 1 and saves my trouble of not getting cash back. Will call them to cancel after I get my Sept cash back. biggrin.gif

So far I have paid for UniFi via OCC UniFi. I made a mistake, should have split into three payment channels. OCC UniFi, UOBPayOnline and TM Portal. doh.gif

I also paid Digi bills via MyDigi app.

Will try soon for TNB via UOBPayOnline. Already spent more than RM 600 on YOLO so far.

Part of my community service to the thread, to test which are the cash back-able merchants. tongue.gif
