If you didn't receive any card under PBB, that's even scarier than UOB. Better call and check then cancel if you don't want.

I claimed with airasia before.
immediately after collecting the luggage relaize got crack.
go to luggage counter and fill some forms, they took pictures.

they send me a letter a week later.
compensation rm20o or replace a similar size luggage at their agent.
i choose the latter.

so guys.. this AMEX 5% weekend cashback... it is stated that the cashback will only be given 4-6 weeks after campaign ends.. so meaning we will only know next year feb whether we get the cashback or not ? plus is it that we have the possibility to get RM50 max cashback max per month or RM50 max throughout the campaign ?

got a sms from maybank thats says delivery of the new pin and pay cards failed and asked me to call them to arrange new delivery

1) it says "your new cards are returned to maybank. please call the number on the back of the card for new delivery". i loled. no card there buddy. yeah i know i can call the number on the old cards, but cant they just put the number in the sms instead of sounding like an idiot?

2) i never even received notice that a card was being sent to me. no notification from the couriers that i need to go collect either. so where did the "failure" occured?

3) called the platinum hotline...waited 5 mins for someone to answer, told them about the delivery failure. "oh...can't do anything there. i pass you to the dept in charge of deliveries". on hold for another 15 mins...fedup and hung up.

reading some of the threads here, it appears maybank have quite a high rate of delivery failure. anedoctally my own experience of cards with 3 other banks were exchanged without much drama.

Most probably because they use Pos Laju - the most troublesome courier. Never attempt to deliver but in their system said 'unsuccessful delivery'. Happen so many time to me. Not just for Maybank CC delivery.

so retired person without regular income but with investment income has to follow such rules?

even with regular income, if your age exceeds 65 yrs old it is very difficult to get a new card approved (new BN ruling), unless:
1) You have inside contacts in the bank which in turn will request you to:
2) Open a fixed deposit collateral with that bank

3) You are some conglomerate/filthy rich with an account with them

So must applied for cards with AF free for life while still eligible, n keep them as long as u need.

That, and get your kids to apply based on their salary and then supp off them. That's what I'm doing to get my parent's their CCs.

Still useful for dining on weekends for me especially when the other dining cards for rebate has reached the limit

only good things is 5x tp which is 1.25%, better than nothing
