1) it says "your new cards are returned to maybank. please call the number on the back of the card for new delivery". i loled. no card there buddy. yeah i know i can call the number on the old cards, but cant they just put the number in the sms instead of sounding like an idiot?
2) i never even received notice that a card was being sent to me. no notification from the couriers that i need to go collect either. so where did the "failure" occured?
3) called the platinum hotline...waited 5 mins for someone to answer, told them about the delivery failure. "oh...can't do anything there. i pass you to the dept in charge of deliveries". on hold for another 15 mins...fedup and hung up.
reading some of the threads here, it appears maybank have quite a high rate of delivery failure. anedoctally my own experience of cards with 3 other banks were exchanged without much drama.
really incompetent display by malaysia's largest bank
