you forgot another features... 9. wireless charging...
*
I never use wireless charging, it is not one of my requirement.
What I need is fast charging. But after the replacement, I can 101% confirm that note 7 does not support fast charging anymore. It is damn slow in charging, compare to before replacement

It's the same supplier, but literally it's different battery as it's 3,500 and it's more compact.
*
Yes it is. But since Samsung already claimed that the battery on the replacement units are safe, and now the issue is still happening, then it could only mean that either Samsung was lying, or they don't know at all what's the root cause of this.

Just wondering... is the Note 7 the first and only Samsung phone to use these defective batteries? I find it dubious that no other Samsung models are using these batteries... no other models seem to be having any battery issues whatsoever? Why can't they just use back the supplier which supplies batteries to its S7?

Perhaps the issue is with some technical error or another component in the phone.
*
Exactly. Battery in Note 7 is not the cause of fire/explode. In fact, something in Note 7 device itself having problem, that trigger the battery to caught fire. As we all know lithium ion batteries are more vulnerable to catch fire and explode. It has nothing to do with the battery design, nor the manufacturer of the battery. It MUST be the design of the board in Note 7.

according to the CS i contacted just now, he said need to give back freebies, but then the CS ytd said no need

nothing is for sure now, since SME still haven't release any official statement.
*
Some people already sold off their freebies because actually, once they mentioned freebies, it's up to the owner to decide whether they want to keep or not.

Furthermore, if this is refund, not the owner's fault. I think the freebies will be kept by the owner.

Battery could be one of the reasons but they might act too fast to conclude it's the sole issue.

Now come to think of it, SDI will be super frustrated because they became scapegoat for this.

Not true. My fast charger is very fast on my replacement Note 7. Maybe you have a defective charger or you didnt enable the fast charging on the setting.

They disabled it in one of the software updates. Replacement or not it's disabled.

i suspect from beginning also not the battery fault.. S7 also using SDI battery but so far also not so serious issue like note 7..then now already change battery still explode...so i suspect is the R&D didn;t test well on the phone before rush out to fight wif ifon.. (just my silly opinion)
*
although same manufacturers but also need to consider things such as dimensions, capacity and etc
S7 battery is 3000 mah, Note 7 is 3500 mah, means chemical density is more packed in note 7 given the same dimension

I don't think Google Pixel or Pixel XL will be officially in Malaysia, since this time they make their own phone and they will sell it themselves unlike last year Nexus 6p, made by Huawei, you can buy it from Huawei or Google itself. FYI, in Malaysia we cannot purchase directly from Google, it does not ship to Malaysia.
Unless there are AP seller like DirectD, and i reckon the price will be sky high.

Now Samsung having BIG problem to stop production of this device already.. mega_shok.gif

Latest news look from here

Although some people has been replaced new devices, it's seems like the grenade timing bomb still running and cannot prevent to explode. Besides, I think they have a second time recall to 1-by-1 exchange the new devices. whistling.gif
