QUOTE(angah_as @ Oct 1 2016, 06:03 PM) Is there any hack apps to change our phone model so we dont have to buy the certified phone You could always change the build prop for your phone, and yes it requires root and a phone with band 5 LTE

Anybody have any idea how to get them to certified a phone? Using a OnePlus 3 now, but they only certified the older models, tempted, but if not certified phone charge is around 140, so not really worth it anymore

p/s : Location = Puncak Alam, Shah Alam Band : HSDPA+ Device : Sammy Note 5 why people use fast.com (US server powered by Netflix) rather than speedtest.net (ping the nearest server to make it more accurate)?

Because most of our daily interweb is not Malaysia-based ports. Speedtest.net can manually select testing server/port within Southeast Asia but in reality we connect mostly to Europe/US/Japan server/port.

p/s : Location = Puncak Alam, Shah Alam Band : HSDPA+ Device : Sammy Note 5 Speedtest is good to measure the max speed. If you want to find out international traffic you can use server from somewhere else. As for fast.com we never know how they measure the speed / cannot choose the server. What we know their speed test is to netflix server. I never know my max speed when using fast.com.. This tested using 3g/unifi and also leased line..

No point having to know the max speed when the "effective" download speed is definitely lesser than the max speed in reality...
It's like a mineral water bottle. The max capacity is 600ml but "effectively" we buy/drink the water less than 600ml...
However, Google & Facebook has data center in Singapore which our government didn't realize how much money we can make if Google or Facebook move their data center in our land...so much for Cyberjaya hype...
