Speedtest route thru local ports / within Malaysia ports only. Not the effective speed to oversea ports/locations...

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 1 2016, 07:51 AM) If u prefer to wait, go there. As for me, I registered online and go there to collect the SIM card only. You can also have the option to send it to ur doorstep. If timing is right, not many ppl at their "lounge". Else, you hv to queue/wait while enjoying their foods (if any...). The waiting time will be long becoz new registration number to choose. I was there last night and there was one lady keep on searching for "ong" number for 30 minutes... LOL.. This post has been edited by azhar75: Oct 1 2016, 09:12 AM |

There are still a few "nice" 6011 prefix numbers out there... But I don't need it... I just port-in from existing "ong" number...

Well. Webe will keep track of our data usage. If they managed to detect one account to hog high data usage every "consecutive" month, they will investigate and actions may be imposed. This is what I understand by "Fair Usage Policy"...

Because most of our daily interweb is not Malaysia-based ports. Speedtest.net can manually select testing server/port within Southeast Asia but in reality we connect mostly to Europe/US/Japan server/port.

No point having to know the max speed when the "effective" download speed is definitely lesser than the max speed in reality...
It's like a mineral water bottle. The max capacity is 600ml but "effectively" we buy/drink the water less than 600ml... However, Google & Facebook has data center in Singapore which our government didn't realize how much money we can make if Google or Facebook move their data center in our land...so much for Cyberjaya hype... True. So far the webe pipe is not congested or clogged. Once many ppl MNP to webe, I'll jump to another spaceship... No contract package only yaaa...
Today I get 4.7Mbps...next 6 months it'll be either higher or lesser... If lesser, I'll jump to another spaceship... As of now, I'm switching between UniFi and webe. Currently, lowyat server is not hand-shake properly with UniFi. But webe to lowyat server is wonderful... Every time I wanna reply to this forum, I'll switch to webe. Just a 5 seconds process..when I wanna watch/stream 1080P60fps YouTube, switch back to UniFi... I'm happy how quickly webe can connect to my Note 5 between WiFi/HDSPA+/LTE band switching...so far so good.. This post has been edited by azhar75: Oct 2 2016, 10:49 AM |

Just like software license years ago, dev use hard-lock (aka dongle) to keep the license.
Same goes to the SIM Card that u get from webe. It's hack-able but they can still trace and u'll be penalized for hacking their SIM card... Same goes to Touch 'n Go, credit card, myKad/IC... All are hack-able but risky... This post has been edited by azhar75: Oct 2 2016, 11:34 AM |

QUOTE(mztang52 @ Oct 2 2016, 01:05 PM) LOL. I can tell you my experience with Maxis, TM, TIME, DiGi, Celcom and U-Mobile. Only TM UniFi can provide full speed when you are connected to US/UK servers. Becoz TM = Total Monopoly.... Every telco hogs their backbone/pipe...Since webe is now "anak This post has been edited by azhar75: Oct 2 2016, 01:16 PM |
