is it true that charged SST won't get refund when cancel the card (FCB) despite without any usage for card that applied after SST implementation on 2018?

My statement is on the 15th every month.
How does the 1% cashback work?
After receive cashback on 2nd every month, cashback is reset or how?

Cash back is calculated based on spending for the current calendar month and will be credited on the 1st of the following month (viewable on the Maybank2U ledger by 2nd).

Ive already received RM50 on 2nd Jan 2021 for expenses in Dec 2020.

Yes, of course you can spend.

The RM 50 you received on 2/1/2021 for spending in the month December 2020.
The cycle reset itself on the 1st day of every calendar month.

Hi all sifu, i have tried applying for the barcelona CC multiple times (through maybank website & ringgitplus) but got rejected on the spot. I have met their minimum annual income requirement but got rejected within 1 hour. previously i had the 2 cards, Amex and visa but terminated it due to under use.any idea if this is the cause of the rejection? or are there any agents here that could help me out?

Try to apply manually. Seems that the ai/system for maybank cc application has high failure rate.

By manually i mean maybe submit a form and email to the right maybank email.

dont think that is the reason. as shared above, fill up the application form and email to maybank, or walk in to card centers

I've just cancelled the FC Barcalona today to save the SST and switch to Citibank Cashback card. Thanks for years of serving

Same I thinking to cut my Barcelona card and keep LFC as back up due to cashback is applicable for eWallet top up still a plus point as compared to Barcelona.

Another plus point to keep SCB LFC is because of Mastercard, sometimes we have Mastercard-specific campaign

P/S: planning to cancel Barcelona soon

Furthermore I misplaced my Barcelona card don’t know where it hide, so instead of asking for replacement just ask for cancellation.

Lucky me just checked my credit card the SST charge will be coming in the week, phew quickly called up to cancel, no hassle. But need to call again next week to transfer my cashback for this month to my Amex card.
