Btw guys, what is the best place to stay in Jeju? The attraction seems to be spread out between north and south. Vehicle speed limit in Jeju is extremely low mang, 60kmph...it's hard to travel between attractions since it's far.

Gonna spent 4 days in Jeju, should I stay 2 days in Jeju city and 2 days in Seogwipo?

For me I booked only one hotel in Seogwipo after some researches and studies (online). Reasons being:

1. Don't want the hassle of checking in/out while changing hotel.
2. Will be renting a car, so don't really need the (slightly) more convenient public transport in Jeju-si.
3. Seogwipo seems to have more natural attractions.
4. Jeju-si more nightlife but if I want that I might as well stay in Seoul.
5. Got some special promotion from Agoda for one nice hotel in Seogwipo inclusive of breakfast for two.
6. Not too far to travel from one place to another as Jeju is not that big anyway (the travel seems long mainly due to low speed limit).

Anyway that's just me icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh ya, btw, regarding the speed limit, 60 km/h is only when you are in town/village. Main roads mainly 80 km/h.

Plan to visit both places, some places are in north - Jeju city area. Travelling seems far cause of the low speed limit thing sweat.gif

I also don't like checking in/out so much but travelling north/south daily by driving can be hectic. I'll be renting car.

Even if it's far, plan your itinerary in such a way that you will visit those places in a day. It's not like you need to travel between North/South everyday.

Some places like Udo Island, it's equally far no matter you stay in Jeju-si or Seogwipo.

Initially plan to spread the tourist attraction places in 4 days. But in this case might need to visit those far places within a day hmm.gif

How long did it take to go from one end to another end? From south to north let's say?

27.4 km

Sorry, looks like the distance in direct. The more accurate one would be 39.9 km by clicking on the previous link that I provided.

stay in seogwipo area.. more attractions. you just need to spread out north and south in different days. plan which attractions you plan to go. then allocate accordingly so that you go by the flow. else you will be driving here and there and wasting your time. 4 days in jeju is enough for you to cover main attractions.

Was initially plan to stay in Jeju City area since my last day's flight is around 8am...so staying nearby the airport makes it easier. Anything special in Seogwipo area?

ahh ic. then you can allocate 1 or 2 nights in jeju city. seogwipo is more quieter compare to jeju city. more attractions nearby

any suggested place to go in jeju city? perhaps just 2-3 places. the remaining time will just walk around our hotel.

when is your travel month?

at night maybe you can go around jungang underground shopping center, jewon crossroads, tapdong street. then if you are non muslim, u can visit black pork street.

attractions you can visit jeju loveland, mysterious road (both is nearby), yongduam rock. if you have time perhaps can go further to manjanggul cave / the maze (both is nearby). else just go to seopjikoji. cz seopjikoji almost took u half day. there are few beaches around but i'm not sure which month you go so might not be suitable to visit
