MYR is going up against KRW. But still very low compared to 2 months ago.

Long time I didn't visit this thread and now we are on new version dy.

This year felt like no autumn at all..

Last year at this time I was still wearing T-shirt and short pants, this year so fast and so sudden became very cold..

Hopefully, it became cold earlier and this year's winter won't be as cold as last year's -20 winter.

Hotels, not hostels. I'll never stay in a hostel... tongue.gif

I'm sure there are a lot of good guesthouses, otherwise they won't remain popular until today. My experience was a one-off, so I'm absolutely not generalizing. No one should take my word that guesthouses are bad. But for me since then, I'd gladly pay more for my own sake of convenience basically. tongue.gif

Unless you are coming for business, airbnb > hotels anytime.

Ya, that's why my opinion on guesthouses are not valid.
Agree, that's why I mentioned service apartments too, which doubles as airbnb also. Usually I stay at gangnam, it's a matter of convenience for me really.

But since most of my visits now a days are only a week+, hotels suit me quite well. Longer visits I definitely go for service apartments/airbnb.

gangnam is a boring place to live in if you don't go clubbing.

Just realized that my SK trip coincides with Chuseok festival (4-Oct-17). Any recommendations on what to do on Chuseok day?

I am thinking of visiting
1. Everland
or
2. Nami Island/Petite France

Anyone here who has the experience of going to SK on Chuseok day? Which one will be less crowded?
*
I would advise not going to those places during Chuseok..
You are going on Chuseok day?

Usually long holidays the city will be quite empty but tourists spots outside of Seoul will be hell.

KT Olleh macam need to pay 700+ MYR for deposit  hmm.gif
I am leaning towards Travel Recommends since it's the cheapest among the 3 choices. Can I get it in KLIA 2? I saw that they have a booth there but not sure they still have it or not now.
*
No need buy olleh Egg nowadays..

Just use KT sim.. Just noticed it at airport.

https://roaming.kt.com/rental/eng/product/sim1.asp

UNLIMITED DATA and no need carry another device.. and just use hotspot tethering for friends/family to use.

Kinds Period of use
27,500 won 5days
38,500 won 10days
71,500 won 30days

Thank me when you come Korea biggrin.gif

Thanks! Already revised.

N Seoul Tower - morning
Ewha - afternoon
Hongik and Hongdae - evening
*
I would not suggest Ewha though. Time better spent walk from Mangwon-dong / Yeonnam-dong, then Hongdae, then Sangsu.

Your itinerary included MyeongDong already? N Seoul Tower is close to MyeongDong, and there's a shuttle bus ( I think still has ) it's better to just arrange MyeongDong then N Seoul Tower.
Seoul Tower at night go also not bad.

Hello.. anyone have experience on Incheon airport to Gimpo airport? By Arex better or airport bus transit??

will reach Seoul at 0655.. how long will it take usually for immigration and baggage collection?

i assuming getting Kt sim card and T-money will take around 30Mins..

My jeju flight is at 1225.. should be in time?
*
Definitely enough time..

Immigration and baggage takes 30 minutes if fast, maximum 1 hour.

Check in to flights just 1 hours before then can dy.

They say 3 hours, it's actually 40-50 minutes before flight time then close check-in.

Since I rarely see foreigners/Chinese in this restaurant when I go Myeongdong.
I want to recommend 명동교자

Don't go other places to eat. Just go here. Satisfaction guaranteed. Best food in terms of taste and price in Myeongdong. Not tourist trap and mostly Koreans customers in there ( I try to find places without China tourists all the time )

명동교자
Try their 칼국수 noodle soup with beef and 만두

I am living in Seoul and already 5 years. So, trust me when I say this biggrin.gif

I'm wondering if it will be a good idea to drive along the east coast of the country?

Distance-wise, I suppose it would be like driving from JB via Gua Musang to Kota Baru.

Anyone done that before?
*
Not really.. I think JB to KB takes longer time.

I suspect scenery *ought* to be fantastic. Any pitfalls to avoid?

You can take a look at this.

May i know what map you use to check the distance? Google map is not allow to get the route as what you did..

Not bad from JeongDongJin to Busan just 5 hours drive. It might be roughly 6 hours if from Busan to Sokcho
*
Naver Map or Daum Map are most used.

Hello guys, I've booked 4pax through airbnb for a trip to Seoul during first week of March.
I know it's gonna be chilly there but how many coats should I pack even?
I will be staying in gangnam.

Plus now efficient will it be if we were to travel to Busan for a day trip? TO think that the KTX ticket is expensive, it doesn't sound promising.
*
I think for tourists KTX to Busan is 50,000won one way.
