Naw. Just going for leisure.
No of course don't cancel your ticket.

Going to S.Korea still isn't as expensive as going to Japan, so there's that.  laugh.gif

Really? I thought South Korea gonna cost more. I am going around Oct hmm.gif

If I compare prices of food, accomodation, products between Tokyo and Seoul, Tokyo still comes up to be more expensive. But then again, I've only ever been to Tokyo once and I've been to Seoul countless times. So the comparison there may be unfair as I'm more familiar as to where to get say; the same product but for a cheaper price. You know, like how a local would?

In your experience, why is Japan is cheaper though? Would love to know so I can pre-plan better to a trip there again.

Also I know that since Japan is going to have lots of tourism promos coming up to promote their country even more due to Tokyo 2020 Olympics, so here's hoping there are some great promos.

In Japan 1 meal cost around 500-1000 yen which translate about 40 MYR now. 1k yen food is quite good already. Most of the time I'm having those 600 yen food. In South Korea I heard 1 meal averagely cost about 35-50 MYR.

As for the products, I am not sure which place is cheaper.

Guys, what's the cheapest airline to take from Busan > Jeju and Jeju > Seoul? So far I found Jeju Air which cost from 100-250.

EDIT: Ah, saw it in the first post.

The air ticket price depends on the date, time and promotion period. If with promotion, Eastar Jet can go as low as 12K won for 1 way.

In term of air line comparison it is very subjective. We can't expect much if it is budget  tongue.gif
Most people will always compliant for a single minor thing that is not on their expectation regardless of budget or premium.  laugh.gif

To me as long as the flight is cheap and can reach the destination safely then okay liao. Since it's a short flight so don't need anything much.

Then you may op for Eastar Jet or Jeju Air. Korean Air will be slightly expensive even after promotion. The different is Korea Air got 20KG baggage.
*
Eh Eastar Jet and Jeju Air has no luggage included? I need to bring along my 15kg luggage also haha.

Eh guys, for renting a car in Jeju Island via Lotte rent a car, the international driving licence needs to be at least 1 year prior to the rental date?

"The international driving permit must
have been issued at least one (1) year
prior to the rental date"

EDIT: Dropped them an email and they said it's okay if the international driving permit is less than a year.

I used Travel Recommends in Seoul and Ilsan no issue
*
I am leaning towards Travel Recommends since it's the cheapest among the 3 choices. Can I get it in KLIA 2? I saw that they have a booth there but not sure they still have it or not now.

Okay just whatsapp them, they operates 24/7 and they have a booth at KLIA2. Since they are the cheapest and the signal/coverage okay so I guess I'll be getting ro them.

Btw guys, what is the best place to stay in Jeju? The attraction seems to be spread out between north and south. Vehicle speed limit in Jeju is extremely low mang, 60kmph...it's hard to travel between attractions since it's far.

Gonna spent 4 days in Jeju, should I stay 2 days in Jeju city and 2 days in Seogwipo?

For me I booked only one hotel in Seogwipo after some researches and studies (online). Reasons being:

1. Don't want the hassle of checking in/out while changing hotel.
2. Will be renting a car, so don't really need the (slightly) more convenient public transport in Jeju-si.
3. Seogwipo seems to have more natural attractions.
4. Jeju-si more nightlife but if I want that I might as well stay in Seoul.
5. Got some special promotion from Agoda for one nice hotel in Seogwipo inclusive of breakfast for two.
6. Not too far to travel from one place to another as Jeju is not that big anyway (the travel seems long mainly due to low speed limit).

Anyway that's just me  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Plan to visit both places, some places are in north - Jeju city area. Travelling seems far cause of the low speed limit thing sweat.gif

I also don't like checking in/out so much but travelling north/south daily by driving can be hectic. I'll be renting car.

Oh ya, btw, regarding the speed limit, 60 km/h is only when you are in town/village. Main roads mainly 80 km/h.
*
80km/h seems slow to travel from south to north or vice versa sweat.gif

Even if it's far, plan your itinerary in such a way that you will visit those places in a day. It's not like you need to travel between North/South everyday.

Some places like Udo Island, it's equally far no matter you stay in Jeju-si or Seogwipo.
*
Initially plan to spread the tourist attraction places in 4 days. But in this case might need to visit those far places within a day hmm.gif

How long did it take to go from one end to another end? From south to north let's say?

That's directly diagonal lol. If you go by side like that driving direction it's different right haha.
