QUOTE(QiAnG @ Nov 18 2016, 10:47 AM) Thanks for the suggestions. From what you say I think you are more of the "unplanned traveller" type, if there is such a word. Nice to know that it can be done. Hmm actually I don't really have a plan in mind, just planning to visit Japan during Autumn and I guess the better idea would be to land in Hokkaido 1st then slowly move down to Miyajima. My interest would be to photograph the landscape and culture of Japan. I'm not much a eat and play person, but rather to experience Japan in a more... personal? way. Not sure if this is the correct expression. Don't mind eating food from convenience store and maybe enjoy an occasional good meal or drink. Might travel with a couple of friends, might do it alone. Preferable alone, unless they suddenly ajak me. Anyway, after doing some research, seems like 3 weeks ordinary JR pass is around 60k yen, whihc is around RM2500. I'm putting a budget of RM100 per night for lodging, as some hostels and lodge I searched are around that price, and they even charge 300 yen more per night during peak season. Air ticket probably ~RM1000. Food... Was actually planning to bike around Japan island, but never been there before so will do it once I'm older or when I get to know more people haha. |

QUOTE(kentLKW @ Nov 18 2016, 09:51 AM) Snowboard is easier for me. I tried both on same day. Within minutes on snowboard i am cruising nicely.. Rusutsu charge some fees to change from ski to snowboard. Some tips for those who doing ski. If you are the not so good at balancing than ski would be easier as you can stand and got stick to support you. If you are good at balancing and played ice skating before, do try out snowboard. Snowboard disadvantages is no standing, so u need to brace urself to keep falling when stop. No problem to fall on snow in Hokkaido as the snow is just too damn powdery!! There are so many ski resorts in sapporo.. How do you choose which resort to go.. I'm also doing my survey right now, looking for beginners & family friendly & and most importantly, with minimal overall cost (transportation, rental, etc). |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Nov 18 2016, 11:26 AM) this is the result i got if i use google translate No I actually study Japanese myself, it should mean ' We accept orders of above 1 Sushi / 1 Onigiri'"-grip 1 consistently, we accept your order from a single scroll. " 握り1貫 - 握り is grip as in 'handgrip' and read as 'nigiri'. But add a 'O' at the front it becomes Onigiri which is the food. 1貫 is the counter for 'sushi/onigiri'. 巻物1本 - 巻物 (makimono) stands for scroll but is another variant for sushi. 1本 is the counter for makimono. and also ご注文 is order , 承ります is 'to receive/undertake' So compile that together, ' We accept orders of above 1 Sushi / 1 Onigiri' But yeah Google translate 'grip 1 consistently, we accept your order from a single scroll' = LEL |

Sometimes it's easier to translate when I actually see the website's content itself, Japanese may have a lot of double meanings in a lot of situation. |

Will definitely take that into consideration , and seems like 55k yen is pretty frugal at this point. |

Hi, I will be arriving Narita on Friday, 3:50pm and transit to Haneda for my next flight on 8:30pm. There's an easy option NRT-HND using the limousine bus but the price is quite pricey at 3,100 yen.
I notice that there's a Access Express Train from NRT-HND at 1,800 yen but im still unsure and i dont want to make any mistake of taking the wrong train. I have used hyperdia to check the train line and it seems that i need to transfer at Aoto Station despite although they mentioned it's a direct train from NRT-HND. Have anyone tried using the Access Express Train? Any review or comment? |

Which translator app to install Japanese <-> English? see the Penang one. when u book that time, it will ask u if u wan it thru postage or self collect at specific airport. then drop off that time u wan to post back to them or drop it off at specific airport. do check their business hour, 6am to 11pm. got back my deposit after 2-3days working hours. translator, use google translate lo. but rarely use. if makan, ask for ei-ko menu (english menu) n if no available, point at picture or the waiter is nice enough to roughly guide u. otherwise tarak comment. |
