Hey guys, just looking for a suggestion, I'm planning for a 3 weeks to 1 month trip in Japan, trying to cover a few places.

Is it possible to cover say.. Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima in the first 2-3 weeks, then head to Hokkaido for the next half?

Will probably fly into Narito then back from Shin-Chitose via airasia.

You have quite some time to play around with. Yes, it's possible. Get JR Pass for shinkansen, it's very convenient to move from one city to the other. Plan out your itinerary and get back here to see if others can advice you on it. Do some research on what you want to see and stuffs so others can help you better. And when are you traveling.

The last time I spent 3.5 weeks there, I got quite fed up with Japanese food lol. Even though I'm a huge Japanese food lover. laugh.gif

6 days for Tokyo too much?

To me lah, I'm a Kyoto fan so I find Tokyo stifling after a few days. Rather get out to Nikko, Kamakura etc.
*
Depends what kind of traveller you are lor. I think 6 days Tokyo is just nice. Any longer will be too much also.

Hi guys,

I am going Tokyo on April 17, plan to stay in Shibuya,
Our group are 8 people, planning to stay with Airbnb.

Could anyone give suggestion of hostel with 8 people with affordable price at shibuya?
*
Why don't you just search airbnb for 8 pax units?
Just make sure got some good reviews and contact the host beforehand.

I dont know about you but it only took me a 2 hours

and i guess you were hitting double black diamonds the same afternoon, and doing jumps on the terrain park on the 2nd day, amirite?!? rolleyes.gif

anyway good for you, but the majority of people will be still snowplowing on their first few days, and considering that this is on a beginner slope it's most certainly not "frowned upon."

Do they accept PayPal?

Of course it is possible as it depends what you want to do/see/eat/budget, etc. Without mentioning what you want to do its really hard to suggest.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Nice to know that it can be done.

Hmm actually I don't really have a plan in mind, just planning to visit Japan during Autumn and I guess the better idea would be to land in Hokkaido 1st then slowly move down to Miyajima. My interest would be to photograph the landscape and culture of Japan. I'm not much a eat and play person, but rather to experience Japan in a more... personal? way. Not sure if this is the correct expression. Don't mind eating food from convenience store and maybe enjoy an occasional good meal or drink. Might travel with a couple of friends, might do it alone. Preferable alone, unless they suddenly ajak me.

Anyway, after doing some research, seems like 3 weeks ordinary JR pass is around 60k yen, whihc is around RM2500. I'm putting a budget of RM100 per night for lodging, as some hostels and lodge I searched are around that price, and they even charge 300 yen more per night during peak season. Air ticket probably ~RM1000. Food...

Was actually planning to bike around Japan island, but never been there before so will do it once I'm older or when I get to know more people haha.

Snowboard is easier for me. I tried both on same day. Within minutes on snowboard i am cruising nicely.. Rusutsu charge some fees to change from ski to snowboard. Some tips for those who doing ski. If you are the not so good at balancing than ski would be easier as you can stand and got stick to support you. If you are good at balancing and played ice skating before, do try out snowboard. Snowboard disadvantages is no standing, so u need to brace urself to keep falling when stop. No problem to fall on snow in Hokkaido as the snow is just too damn powdery!!

Hey Guys will be going to Japan next year. My schedule as follows :

March 28-30 Osaka
March 30 - April 1 Kyoto
April 1 - 4 Tokyo

We have pretty much paid for air tickets, and accommodation.

So I was wondering during the trip whether 55,000 yen cash is suffice to cover daily expenses such as transportation, food, mobile wifi. If there is any big purchases, I probably will cover it using credit card. But in the meantime, would you say 55,000 yen is sufficient to cover daily expenses as mentioned above.

Thanks guys appreciate all the help I can get smile.gif
