Dont worry too much, just dont change lens etc and allow moisture to get in can di. After the trip ... If u worry than keep camera inside box of rice to absorb moisure can di.
Shot my old S90 and 60D in snow storm pun nothiny happen.
Couple months ago i went to this disney Frozen exhibit held inside a literally frozen facility with ice slides, aritificial snow etc .. my kids were throwing snow at my XE2. I didnt take any precaution at all and outside was almost 40c. Condensation like crazy.. lens.. filter everything fogged up... Camera stop working for a while but ok after a while.
I suppose keeping the camera airtight before coming into a warm place will prevent that.
Worry about battery life and exposure compensation instead

I would say don't worry too much if you are not in the snow, as in while it's snowing (like when it's raining in our weather) I think you are fine. Cold weather alone doesn't spoil your camera but any water seepage will.
I was in switzerland surfing resort Flumserberg in early 2013 and my G6 just work fine, without any protective gears. In about the same time I was in London too and it was snowing while on the street walking to Madame Tussauds and still nothing happen to my camera till this day.
Don't worry too much, our cameras are much tougher than you might like to think. Just enjoy yourself, without looking ridiculous with your camera in a plastic bag keh keh keh

Thank you both for the great opinion, I'm really worried because this is the first time I purchased an expensive camera for myself, so it's very precious to me.
In fact, its performance is far greater than the GX1 I had, so I am taking even better care of it now LOL
Guess I'll just get a plastic bag just in case the weather gets pretty stormy.
I just hope my lens dont get damaged as they are not weatherproof. It's too bad I didn't get the 12-60mm lens with this G85 of mine, sad.
