I really wish Olympus will have replacement for legendary 12-60 but we're getting 12-100 instead, but still the price puke.gif 12-40 really not far enough for event coverage.

iso 64 isn't native iso. it is iso LOW. native still start from 200.

the new PanaLeica trio indeed a surprise in this announcement. now m4/3 is getting stronger with all these lenses.
*
Ya, the ISO Low on EM1 also same, but still I guess may have slight usefulness.

PanaLeica combination then price will cry.gif also

When set IBIS auto in EM5-II, how to know if it is engaged in a photo?

Do you guys turn off IBIS totally when there is enough light?
*
I just leave it on ( EM1 ) all the time ( seldom use tripod ), you'll know if you half-press shutter button and the viewfinder suddenly stabilized.

1st: i60A on A7

Kinda enjoying my new 12-60mm lens (price has dropped quite nicely).
Maybe it's just me but I like the extra focal length that I can get over the 35mm.

I really want 12-60 also, current 12-40 pro was not far enough. The new 12-100 was quite good eventhough it's f4 but the price sweat.gif

QUOTE(0300078 @ Oct 29 2016, 03:02 PM)
Anyone got the new flash from Olympus? I got the 600 and I really don't like it output... I still use my 580exii on my em1, seeing the new flash is same size as 580exii wonder how is it output.
*
Not yet out here, but US pricing 579USD cry.gif that's why I started looking at alternative like Nissin i60A or Di700A that's compatible with m43

Been seeing EM1 II in action, and play a while. I'll said it's worth the money, just that may not what we normal user need. The super fast burst frame are impressive, tracking almost on par with high end DSLR also. Audio quality on video recording also really good.

it doesn't matter what camera you use, the matter is your willingness to bring it along with you and take it out for shooting.

you might upgrade to omd but you will surprise you might end up bringing your gf1+20mm anytime along with you not the omd. tak sakit hati when abuse or lost your old and cheap gear brows.gif

i might get rid of my EP3+Sigma 19mm next month if i decided to get a Samsung S7, got no motivation bringing out this heavy brick (but remain the lightweight epl5). last time using gf3, yea, pretty girlish camera but i am more willing to bring it out due to its light weight, just put on a handstrap and keep in my cargo pant pocket. Nowadays just lazy…the handphone too convenient.

Best camera is the one that's with you biggrin.gif Sometimes smartphone just too good, HDR shots and direct upload to social media tongue.gif

Do you guys carry your M43 camera almost anywhere you go? When I bought my EM5, I thought I will bring it everywhere, but now I'm looking for something more compact, like Sony RX100 V or Canon G7X II.
*
Last time I did when I have EPL5 ( daily even to office ), then EM5 I bring everywhere except office, EM1 only when photography outing biggrin.gif

grabbed this from the EM-1 facebook group

ggwp. battery grip je dah RM1.2k
*
It shows how bad ringgit are, at the rise of Yen ( one of the reason EM1 II so expensive )
12-40 box set cost me RM3K more than 1 year ago, and RM2.3K if bundle with EM1. Now it cost RM2900 when combo with EM1 II sweat.gif

i waiting for EM-5 mk3 better. this one RM8.4k, the battery grip pun 1.2k, expensive gila
*
Dont expect EM5 III to be remain at good price sad.gif EM1 II high price was not solely affected by it's spec and performance, part of steep price increase due to Yen performance, salary increase ( LOLz ) and higher cost from vietnam factory ( I cant recall this is reading from article or chat with Olympus employee )

looks like i'll be in the market for Pen-F liao.. i saw shops selling for around RM4.6 - 4.8k

problem is i use 2 bodies now, so if i had the money to upgrade to the EM1mk2, i can buy 2 Pen-F's liao
*
I cant stand the small grip, and weather proof.

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Dec 8 2016, 01:13 PM)
I doubt any significant improvement in ISO performance. Current machines improve more in functionality.
*
Yeah, most reviews dont touch much on ISO, means it's not much improvement.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Dec 21 2016, 10:28 AM)
Last night i was shooting my daughter's kindergarten event with 12-32 and i find the range lacking compared with the 18-55 on APSC.

Ideally 14-140mm ii but $$$
*
At least you're on wider end, but seriously even on 12-40 I find the 40mm not far enough cry.gif

QUOTE(bobds78 @ Dec 21 2016, 10:41 AM)
The 12-32 is perfect if you are in a tight spot like a small room or shooting landscape but it doesn't have enough reach going beyond 32mm. If it is range you are after a 14-140 is ideal but instead, you can go for a 40-150 for a better reach. A 40-150 is cheap on the used market. And the difference in gap between the 12-32 and 40-150 is negligible. I would recommend a 40-150 anytime.

This is the set up i have at the moment: A 15/1.7, 20/1.7, 12-32+.75X WAC and a 40-150.

Looking for a 100-400 when the prices ease a bit.
